Adrienne's final picture was so beautiful!
----------

I KNOW!! I kept thinking that the picture alone should win it for her. I didn't even recognize her when the curtain was dropped and it was blown up. Gorgeous picture!

I was shocked Elyse was the first of the three to go, but I was definitely happy Adrianne won it all. In a way, it's better, because I would've hated for Elyse and Adrianne to go against each other because they are SUCH great friends. Not that it would ruin their friendship, but there could certainly be some tension. But, I think it was great how supportive Elyse was of Adrianne. And it made me happy to see all three of them bonding, laughing and having a great time together.

I do like Shannon and while I think she may have looked better on the runway, I think Adrianne was much more of the package. I wouldn't want to see Shannon on TV shows- she wouldn't have all too much to say and she'd just be a big bubbly smile. Adrianne, while she may be annoying to hear, would be much more interesting. Adrianne takes better pictures and is willing to try anything, also- she's totally comfortable and confident in front of the camera and with herself.

Adrienne was on Regis and Kelly this morning as well as the news on UPN. You could tell she's been working on her voice-- the UPN anchor said to her that it's improved. Her hair looked great and she had a nice tan.

I caught Adrienne on E! News Live and Access Hollywood today. She talked about how she was going to use her prize money to help her parents. Her speech has definitely improved. You could actually understand her! And she did look really good. But, I thought she was a little bit too tan.

They have started the search for season 2. During a commercial break, they showed an announcement that they would be here in Syracuse this Saturday looking for people.

I live about 20 minutes north of Joliet, so I was so excited that Adrienne won. This is local girl made good stuff.

I actually wound up watching most of the shows, and I was impressed with the variety and the types of women they had on the show. I have to admit though I was getting a little tired hearing about her accent. I don't think it was that bad...I've heard worse on the Metra going home every night. For the record, yes, she has a strong Chicago accent. I'm guessing she's lived in the Chicagoland area her entire life...how is she supposed to speak? With a French accent? With a southern drawl?

It's not her accent, it's her tone. She always sounded like her voice was kind of muted, like she was speaking through clenched teeth or something.

It sounded like she was talking with her jaw wired shut. It annoyed me to no end in the beginning, but it started to grow on me by the end. She's been working on it lately, too.

Her accent became a problem during the FreshLook commercial. She had a hard time saying "passion" without her accent coming through. The director had her try it several times and she wasn't ever able to lose the accent when saying the word. But, I think that's the only time her thick Chicago ACCENT (not her tone) was a problem.

Maybe I'm just used to hearing people speak that way, but I still don't think it - her tone, her accent, whatever - was that bad. If you guys want to hear really "tonal" Chicagoans speak, the next time you're all in Chicago I'll direct you to a few places on Western Avenue. Word of caution: don't wear anything with a Cubs logo on it. Still, I stayed with the show from the first episode, so accent/tone bashing aside, it was pretty good summertime tv.

Damn, I missed the last show because I was out to dinner with my cousin and his wife in NYC. I'm kind of disappointed that Elyse didn't win but Adrienne was my second choice so I'm glad that she won.

Season 2

Did anyone watch the new season last night?

As mean as it may have been that the other girls didn't wake up Janicia (sp?), I believe it was her responsibility to get herself up in the morning if it were that important. How can you sleep through an alarm clock and 11 other girls getting ready?!

My favorite so far is April. She has a really exotic look to her and she seems to be the most down to earth.

I watched last night. There's already alot of drama going on. I agree that Janescia (what's up with that name?) should have been responsible for waking up on her own. I was cracking up during her little tirade. She was about to slap one of those girls. I'm glad she didn't get cut. And I'm glad they got rid of Anna. Didn't she watch last season? She should have known they might have to pose nude. Janice's reaction to her "Christ-like" comment was too funny. So far I like Shandi, Janescia, Xiomera (crazy names this season). But I could do without Bethany and Camile. They're both so full of themselves.

Funny, when I watched last season I thought that Janice Dickinson was just a HORRIBLE BITCH! But I recently finished her autobiography and after that I seem to have a better "feel" for the way she acts. She's very outspoken and tell-it-like-it-is in the book, but she's also really funny and acknowledges that she's honed the bitchy exterior in response to things that have happened to her in the past (including some pretty stomach-turning abuse at the hands of her father).

I actually think she'd be really fun to hang around with (but still, I wouldn't want her judging my person on national tv!)

Someone tell me what night this new season is on, please?
