I just wish I knew which GLO was Gamma Phi from Annie's descriptions!
Annie -- when do you get your invites???????????
The suspense is killing me -- it must be killing you too!

HI EVERYONE!!
I just picked up my invites.
Okay, first of all, they made a typo on our schedule thingies so we were all under the impression that we were going to be invited back to four houses max, and we only had to cut one. So I didn't even think about it, because I already knew which one I would cut... but then, it turns out that we have to cut TWO.
Big problem... I was invited back to four houses, and I had to cut two, which I Didn't think about in adavance!
So I ended up cutting Delta Gamma (I had already cut them after the first day, but I guess they invited me back again?), Kappa Kappa Gamma, Sigma Kappa, and Gamma Phi Beta.
I was cut from Pi Beta Phi, which I visited yesterday, but I'm not too disappointed, nor am I too surprised... I am absolutely THRILLED to be invited back to Kappa Kappa Gamma (surprise) and Gamma Phi Beta. Both are extremely reputable houses on our campus.
I ended up cutting Sigma Kappa for various reasons, NONE of which are related to the sisters themselves nor their actions... but anyway, in a nutshell, some things happened last night that really made me decide that ultimately they wouldn't be the best house for me. I hope, though, that in the future I get to be friends with the girls I met, because this is an absolutely an awesome with awesome members! I hope they have a great pledge class this fall.
So I'm going back to Gamma Phi Beta and Kappa Kappa Gamma tonight for preference.
I bought a really cute dress yesterday, although I think it may be a tad on the summery side (but hey, this is Southern California!)... it's retro-inspired... it's got a halter top, and a high waist, with a flaired skirt that ends below my knees, and a really, really cute red and white graphic floral pattern. I'm wearing it with shoes that may be a little more suitable for somebody older than I am (eep!)... but they're the only camel-colored shoes I have that wil go with the dress. They're pointy-toed slingbacks with a kitten heel. I'm going to wear a white cardigan over the dress.
I'm getting paranoid about being cut from both houses... like they're just stringing me along or something! They're both extremely competitive and I know that the PNMs that will be at their respective Preferences tonight will be absolutely stellar girls (actually, all of the PNMs are!). How intimidating!!
Okay, girls, wish me luck!!
XOXO,
Annie-Ba-Nannie(-Fe-Fi-Fannie-Yeah-Annie). <----That's right, I got three hours of sleep again .

AHHHHHH I am getting so excited for you now! Have fun at Pref, and you know we'll all be waiting on pins and needles to find out how it went!
Here on GC, I've learned that both KKG and GPhiB are great organizations, and every girl from these groups seems absolutely great. I'm sure you'll be thrilled no matter where you end up!

Annie,
Chapters know that anybody they choose to invite to Preference could be a sister. Therefore, they wouldn't invite you to their party unless they would be happy to call you Sister. Don't worry about that during the parties tonight. Just remember to breathe deeply and relax, smile, and pay attention. The right decision will become clear to you. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about Sigma Kappa as well, but Gamma Phi Beta and Kappa Kappa Gamma are both wonderful organizations, either of which would be fortunate to have you. Good luck!
