Awww! hey Rory!! I've decided to post obviously...  ok, nicknames....there are 4 girls in my chapter named Jennifer (including me) but out of all of us I'm the that got to keep Jennifer. So, it's either Jen or Jennifer....all the others are "Killer" herlast name is Miller, Fermin, that's her last name,too and then Jennie.what's funny is a question i always ask a pledge which brother's name is in the Toast song (Fermin) really it's "Firm in" but that's how you pronounce it...my pledge class brought that up...I wish I had a kool name like that LoL.....

My nickname is Top Flight. My brothers "teased" me calling me that because they said I reminded them of a security guard due to my size and martial arts background.

My chapter never got into the nickname tradition but my cross country and track teams did. I was called "Scout" since I was the lone eagle scout on the team and this was then used by many of the APO brothers as well.

I was given the name Fundadora Francis because...
1. I fluently speak Spanish and one of the seniors absolutely loved that because she was a Spanish major.
2. One of ZTA's founders was Frances Yancey Smith so since our first names are so similar, then I'm Fundadora Francis! (Fundadora means founder in Spanish).

You don't necessarily have to be the tallest to be the tail or the shortest to be an ace. Just depends on how your chapter does it.

And the chapter I pledged with wouldn't have known what what an Ace or a Tail were. I'm 8th of 21 because 7 of the other 20 had last names alphabetically before mine. (Kappa @ Carnegie-Mellon.)

Anyway, my name is appropriately called Mama Bear. In Iota Rho, we have nickname committees and to make a long story short, my shirt given to me with it. I think it is cute and far better than some of the names my PC brothers had. One had Vanilla Ice, Bubbles, etc. Now, line #'s we don't do but I had my number given to me by some brothers who also took me under their wing. So now, not only am I #2038 by my chapter, I am #4 to others too.
