Hello again!
Carnation, I also would feel better if you didnt name the groups until afterwards. I mean I know I wouldnt take anything personally but you are talking about my chapter and I just dont think it would be a good idea to name the groups untill afterwards. You could just use this very thread to post results since all other info is here already. That way new posters will have the "complete and unabridged" version of the tale!!
I dont even think you should use jems. I would be able to determine who the group is very easily and it would be the same as naming them....maybe you could just use code names....xyz being group A...and so on.
I know Alpha Gam is about 30 girls strong!! We are the new ones on campus so it isnt suprising that we are the smallest, but we are a very strong, close group there at Valdosta!!!
Good luck!!! Rush is going to be much larger this year and I cant wait to hear all about it from you!!!!!

the only important...
thing is that your girls have the bestest time and find where their heart is. the rest should take care of itself.
curious though, is your no. 1 daughter also at vsu?

Carnation, I'd go with the gems... but also, take care not to say anything that will obviously link a gem to a particular sorority... for instance, if you say "My daughters said 'pearl' had a truly atrocious jungle theme at today's party" and someone from Valdosta whose sorority did a jungle theme that day reads it, she'll figure out pretty quick that (a) her sorority is 'pearl' and (b) your daughters didn't like it, and as a result, 'pearl' may cut your daughters. But if you keep it to more generic comments, like "they hated the theme at 'pearl' but they both love 'diamond' and 'emerald'" it should be ok. I'm really looking forward to reading their rush stories - but at the same time, I don't want their chances at a bid to be jeopardized.

Great ideas, aephialum! Okay, how about if I adopt her suggestions and only use non-identifying information to show the track that each girl is taking? Like--"today Amanda cut Topaz and went to Pearl and Diamond for prefs and Heather cut Moonstone and went to Pearl and Emerald"? But not this:"they said that the Secret Agent party at Turquoise really sucked!"
I'm just trying to figure out how I can post anything otherwise--other than what they pledge on the last day!

Even though Valdosta is only 18 miles from the Florida border, the University of West Florida is about 4 to 41/2 hours away. FSU and Florida are the closest universitys.

carnation~
If there were only 5 sororities there, you could name them after members of N'Sync or the Backstreet Boys.
"she thought the Joey Fatones were dorks, but she really loved the Chris Kirkpatricks!" hee hee.

Carnation,
I am somewhat new to Greek Chat and have been swept in to the excitement of your "twins" at Valdosta. Any news yet? Best of luck to the both of them. I bet you can guess who I am pulling for...

Gee, ZTABullwinkle, which sorority are you pulling for?
The girls just got assigned their permanent dorms and roommates yesterday. Here's the good news: their permanent dorm is the rush dorm so they won't have to move halfway through rush!
So now I'm off to buy comforters and other dorm room supplies. I think we all need tranquilizers at this house, the excitement is running so high! Three moms of PNMs have called me today and I think that the rest of the family would like me to take some heavy drugs and calm down! Yess! Rush is on the way!!!
You guys have been such good support!

Hey Carnation!
Is the dorm Patterson again this year!!
I can guess why they didnt choose to room with each other, but are they in the same Rho Chi group, or Gamma Chi group? I forget what they call them at Valdosta....
