I find it interested as well. But, I look at tv shows from the 70s and 80s and think,"They would never run that on tv today". This usually happens when I watch old eps of Saturday Night Live.

I'm going to be upset if they don't air it in the US, because one of the things I love about the show is that it deals with real teen issues... Why hide something from us that we know already exists? I guess they think it might encourage teenage girls to go out and terminate their pregnancies

I hope that they do show the eposide her in the states. Provided that they do the eposide right, I'm sure it is not going to encourage girls to run out and terminate pregnancies. Do you know what it takes just to get an apopointment at a clinic these days? The laws are no joke. It's especially tough if you are a minor and wanting to end your pregnancy.

Emma gets on my nerves. At first she was ok, but this season and her Sean vendetta is going to get on my nerves!
And...can Liberty become a little less annoying as well. Give that girl a man!!

My only problem with Degrassi is that the episodes are tired.
I love Degrassi Jr. High and High because it was a fresh show. Now their taking the same story lines and applying to the new characters. Not that these issues don't apply today, but to me it's just not original anymore.
The abortion story line has already been done. They did it on Degrassi High. One of the twins had an abortion.

Well I guess you have to take into consideration that their target audience consists of teenagers who were too young to watch/remember the original, and some who may not have even been born! So even though they did the storylines before, it's new to the kids who are watching it now. And I'm entertained by TNG, because I only vaguely remember Degrassi High.

You're right. I grew up on reruns of Degrassi Jr. High and Degrassi High, even thoguh I was only 9 when School's Out aired.
So it's not new to me. I think TNG is a good show, but I rarely watch it because the story lines are old to me and I personally prefer the original series.

Per this seasons commericials...
it appears that Jimmy and Hazel will hook up. It's about time!! It seemed like a natural progression. Not because of their race, but because they are always hanging out...Jimmy, Hazel, Spinner, and Paige.
Not feeling Ellie and Sean.

I loved Sean and Emma. He made her less annoying and she made him softer. However, after this initial episode...that's so over.

I agree. I don't like Emma without Sean at all, and I don't like Sean as much without her either.
I have high hopes for Sean and Ellie though -- but I think they may disappoint me.

It may help if Chris takes a few acting lessons.
