Cool

Alpha Phi was the first to use greek symbols on their badge, and their pledge pins are an equally elegant silver ivy leaf.

Arrow Delta Zeta Pledge Pin

DZ's pledge pin is a black enamel diamond with a gold roman lamp in the middle.

Kappa Delta has 2 pledge pins, one is a shield in the same shape as our crest, in white enamel, with 3 gold stars in the middle on a background of a triangle of green enamel. The second one is the outline of a gold triangle, divided into 3 parts, with a dagger going through the middle pointing downward. I loved our second pledge pin!

The Phi Mu pledge pin is very plain. It's the same shape as our badge (but much smaller) with a black enamel background and the greek leter "Phi" in the middle. Both the "Phi" and the edges of the pin are in gold.

Hi Shae! That's pretty interesting, actually! How does it work with the two pledge pins? Do you wear one type for part of your pledging and the other for the next part? Or do you just wear one the whole time and which one it is depends on which is available from your National?

Thanks to everyone who voted for AOII, I really think it is quite beautiful. But, if I had to pck another one I really like XO, ADII, and SK.

The AOII pledge pin is a sheaf of wheat bound together with AOII stamped on it. I'm going to try and post a picture below...

You are right on the money, we have one for the first period of pledging, and the second for the short period of time between the first part of pledging and initiation.

I really must say that even if I wasn't an Alpha Xi I would have to choose my badge. I love the badges that are objects, they just look so unique and delicate. You can tell what organization a girl's from with out a close-up look at the badge. Kappa's badge is my second favorite, with Pi Beta Phi taking a close third!

I have the regular gold Quill right now, but someday I hope to be able to afford the Quill with the row of pearls and the single diamond at the tip. I wish you could still get jeweled silver badges....silver is all I ever wear!

I just saw a picture of Sigma Kappa's scroll-edge badge, with 3 pearl points, and *that* is gorgeous. Adding that one to my list of favorites. Also, Phi Mu...very unique and striking.

Im an Alpha Xi and I think my quill is ok...but its so overly simple. Not that I want something bling-blinging but at little embellishment would be nice.

But as for personal favorites I adore the Tri-Delts and the DZ's badges.

Those also seem to be quite popular on this board.

When I went through rush, I thought the AXD badge was a little funny looking. Of course I love it now!

But I do think that it looks best jeweled. Whereas some of the other pins look best plain. Get a fancy chapter guard and a lot of dangles to fancy it up.

Katey-
Ok, maybe I'm out of college WAY too long, but what is our policy when a sister gets a 4.0? I can't figure it out!
