I'm not gonna lie. I'm really relieved we aren't getting that storm the south and northeast got. I consider us very lucky. The snow is up to the bottom of my mailbox from the plows. The dog has a path shoveled out for him, but that snow is about 3 feet and it's been that way for a while now. The street gets a little narrower each time they plow. They don't seem to plow right up to the curb anymore so the sewers are all covered by those piles. It is supposed to get above freezing next week and I don't know where the water is going to go, but I'm concerned it will end up in the basement somehow.
Hypo's classes were canceled after 3 pm today but Barnard expects to be open tomorrow. Her boyfriend is on a train from Toledo to NYC and is supposed to arrive in NYC at 6:40 pm. Hope he makes it ok!
When it got up to 29 today, it felt pretty warm.
