The current stadium is really small. There's no indoor concourse at all. There's not much parking as the closest lot is where most freshmen park, and is a decent walk from the dorms. The lot is generally pretty full. They have an arrangement to play games at Gillette through 2016 I think? This year and next year ALL home games will be at Gillette. I'm thinking this will make "homecoming" a little awkward as Gillette in Foxborough is almost 2 hours from Amherst. They're "free student bussing" to the games. (Glad I'm not ever going to be on one of those busses). I was on campus within the last few weeks and saw no evidence of anything happening to the stadium yet.

I had a feeling Stanford could pull it off, but it'd be tough.

And Notre Dame just beat Michigan State. My heart goes out to Manti Te'o, Notre Dame LB, who played today despite losing his grandma and then his girlfriend -- to leukemia, less than 24 hours apart this week.

Never liked Notre Dame until Stephon Tuitt started playing for them. He's from my hometown.

My worst fears for the Razobacks were justified, although it was a releif to see that Auburn had trouble with ULM too. Bama totoally toasted Arkansas. First time that Arkansas has been shut out since 1966.

On a happier note LSU won!

Western Kentucky beat University of Kentucky (Sun Belt vs SEC) in Lexington last night 32-31 in overtime. GO TOPPERS!!! (Even if I'm an alumna of both schools)

Sun Belt is kicking some SEC butt...even if I am an alum of both, I am pleased to see the Sun Belt do so well.

I suspect a lot of this ^^ was consumed after the game - either for celebratory purposes or for downing one’s sorrow.

In any case, congrats and good win for Western. Now go out and win the Sun Belt championship.
