Happy for the Cougs, but losing Tuel was a mighty high price to pay for that win.
As for my team...crap, crap, crap. Obviously my "Don't watch the game or even check the score and they'll win" strategy isn't working.
Wondering if there's some pre-game ritual sacrfice I can try next week.

OMG. That was AWESOME! We might as well have been at home. It was at least 75% LSU fans. Our band was there. They played "Calling Baton Rouge" and me and 75,000 of my best friends screamed our heads off! Oregon, you have just experienced Tiger Country.

Congratulations to your team AOII Angel - they played a great game from what I heard (as I've mentioned - I can't ever bring myself to watch which was probably for the best tonight).

You guys had some great moments as did we. We both had spectacularly bad moments. LSU was just able to capitalize on the mistakes more so than Oregon. Our center literally snapped the ball once while our QB was to the right audibling (is that a word) to the line. WTH? Crazy game.

Well, for what its worth - I hope LSU runs the table the rest of the season. It will certainly make us feel better about the game.

Bah. We fought the good fight but we'll get 'em next time. I was super excited to see my cousin on TV! Honestly, I don't give a flying wombat about football when he's not on. You did your best boys, I'll tune in next time!
But it'll be more fun when it's hockey season I'm watching.

My husband and youngest son were at The Big House. Thank heavens they took a change of clothes with them, because this morning the clothes they wore were still soaking wet. Son said it was the greatest game he's ever been to, and was rather bummed that they called it early. Kids, go figure!

Yeah, that's painful. Especially since the guy was out at the beginning of the game with a stomach virus. He finally managed to talk his way onto the field only to fracture/break his clavicle after three plays. Ouch. Lobbestal looked good as did Halliday. Even the fourth stringer came in for awhile, but I don't know what his name is. I have hope that maybe we will have Tuel back by conference play (I've heard everything from 3 weeks to the season, so we'll see if he does get to come back at somepoint).
The rest of the Pac-12 didn't have as easy a time for us. Rough week, but we'll be fine.

It was a rough day for us certainly. I know Stanford did fine and USC won though. I'm assuming UW won, but I didn't check their scores. I know UCLA went down, but I had trouble feeling bad about that one since I CAN"T STAND Rick N.
Unfortunately its usually an 8 week recovery period at best - at least that's what they're reporting (of course - sometimes they push themselves when they need to). I'd be uncomfortable with the Lobster since he wasn't strong the first time around BUT I know a little bit about Halliday since he's a Spokane kid, and he might do well. He was certainly good for Ferris. At least Tuel will be back for the Apple Cup (and a few games before hopefully).
I'm just really shocked Wulff let him talk his way into it - or let him continue to play when they were up - especially considering it was Idaho State.

Yeah, those crazy kids at Under Armour came up with 4 jerseys (white, black, red, yellow), 4 pants (white, black, red, yellow) and 2 helmets for UMD. They can be worn in any of THIRTY TWO combinations. Crazy. Then there are the wild cleats... Washington Post said that team captains and fan votes will decide which combination is worn on each game day.
