Speaking of awkward moments....

I went out with friends this weekend and awkwardness ensued.

D: So CG, how come you never come with us to our cabin trips?
K: Because she's never invited.
D: Oh.....
Me: *stands between them wishing I were somewhere else*

I feel awkward when people sing near/to me.

If I'm in a car with someone and they start singing, I get super uncomfortable.. Same with fraternity serenades.

I just don't know how to react... I don't like to STARE at people, but if someone is in front of me singing, I assume I'm supposed to...
I don't know.

"Stranger Than Fiction" is one of my all time favorite movies but I usually skip the "Whole Wide World" scene. For a second, Maggie Gylenhall(??) has this look on her face like "There is a man on my couch singing and I don't know what I'm supposed to do" and that's how I feel any time someone is singing in front of me.

You mean just singing along to the radio? They're singing because they like the song and it makes them feel happy. Don't let it stress you out. They're not expecting you to clap or give a Simon Cowell critique.

Yes, singing along to the radio.
It especially irks me when I like the song and they sing over it.
I want to tell them "stfu and leave it up to the professionals" [but that's not nice so I don't haha]
I just feel like I am then supposed to compliment them or something...

Me too. I rock out, especially when I'm by myself. I smile and wave to the strangers in the cars next to me who stare

I hate prolonged eye contact. I mean, it's fine if I'm talking someone, but even then, I dart my eyes around a bit or stare somewhere else on that person's face. There are some people that I talk to, though, who will keep staring after we have both made our point and the conversation is over... I HATE THAT. I feel like I'm expected to say something else so I usually smile and then pretend to become occupied with something in the opposite direction.

Telling your boss that you've accepted another position when he has been supportive and instrumental to your career growth for eleven years.

This morning, at the bank:

Walking into the bank, not too far behind a woman with several zippered money bags. She tripped over a wrinkle in the carpet, and dropped everything she was carrying in order to break her fall. Money went falling out/rolling everywhere. (I learned during the clean-up that she had misplaced the keys, and had therefore left the bags partially unzipped.)

Helping her pick up the money was rather awkward, just because I couldn't tell whether she really wanted a stranger handling her money. I guess she felt pretty awkward, too.

I come from a family who loves to sing, but sing REALLY bad.

Sometime we joke with each other.
Q:"Do you know who sings this song?"
A: "Yeah [insert artist name here]"
Q: "Why don't we keep it that way."
