ditto on both counts, and keep writing; you certainly know how to spin a tale! Hope that you will come back from time to time with something to share; enjoy your new member period, too (and woohoo for your first college A!!!!).

Congrats! I love the Gamma Phi house at UO. It is so pretty. You should post some pics to show it off. It truly is one of the prettiest sorority houses I have ever seen. Wonderful chapter with a long tradition too. Best wishes. And GO DUCKS!

Congrats to you! I am so happy for you, thank you for coming back and finishing the story! Your open mind and heart thru recruitment was I'm sure inspiring. I will make sure my daughter finds this thread in a couple of years when its her turn to go thru recruitment.

Congrats on finding your home - your president and VP should get some kind of sorority dedication award for jumping in the Millrace. It would take a considerable amount of money to get me to put so much as a toe in there. Hopefully they are up on their typhoid shots - LOL!

Have a great time at the game Saturday with your new sisters and you know - Huck the Fuskies!

PS. LOVED the story. Hopefully, you're majoring in English or journalism.

There is no grosser body of water than the Charles River that runs between Boston and Cambridge. Fall into the Charles = automatic tetanus shot. My sorority never rivered anyone, but there were groups who did river people.

And with that I end my story GC. Thank you all for sharing this rollercoaster with me<3
No... with this you end your recruitment story, and you begin your story as a Gamma Phi Beta.

Congratulations! Great story with a happy ending.

Altough the editor in me has to point out that it's "for all intents and purposes" not "intensive purposes." It's a pretty common mistake. That's all.

I just found this story--welcome sister! I'm a GPB from the other side of the country, but little hints here and there made me think that would be your end result. So thrilled that it was!

This has got to be one of the best recruitment stories I've read on this site. Not only the actual process and feelings for you, but the description of the Chuck Norris girl, Snooki, and the fact that you figured it wouldn't be taken well if you decked a fellow PNM had me absolutely rolling. This is one of those stories that needs to be bumped every recruitment season.

Congratulations on finding your home and your sisters, and welcome to the Syracuse Triad!!
