Yeah i knew that LSU wouldn't, but the OP posted in two places so I didn't feel too bad about hijacking this one to ask the question
Thanks!

Towson only does this during informal spring recruitment.

Back when I rushed, durning the Carter-Reagan presidential race, we had the option to be put on each sorority's "open bid" list when filling out our preference sheets. This meant that we could recieve bids from any sorority, whether or not we preffed them or they, us. I know one girl who did this (she was called home during rush due to family illness and missed some parties) but I don't know how many bids she got. I also heard that a high school classmate at one of the less-competitive SEC schools got bids from all 13 sororities then on campus. I've never seen any situations like this mentioned elsewhere on GC, so I wonder if it's since evolved into the snap bid system, or what.

Yeah, I knew that some schools did that style of bidding, but I don't know how it actually ends up working out because it seems like it would be absolute madness with 13 sororities!

Marshall still allows women to receive multiple bids, or at least they still did when my friend joined 2005.
Eyes boggling at imagining the madness of an SEC school doing that...

"Very few recs" won't cut it at LSU. You'll need at least one rec for every single chapter -- two or three if you can find them. Contact your local alumnae Panhellenic association now, and start working your contacts -- relatives, parents of friends (both moms and dads,) teachers, guidance counselors, employers, coworkers, ministers, etc. Tell everyone you know that you're going through sorority recruitment. Ask if they're sorority members (from any school,) or if they know sorority members. Put a request out on your Facebook page as well.

Besides Blue Skies' excellent advice, see the current FAQ section on LSU's site.

Ok, no need to copy and paste the whole damn thing. Providing the link is enough especially when the question's been answered multiple times in 2 threads.

Obviously since your daughter pledged them, they are an excellent chapter!

I'm sorry, but if you daughter is happy screw the rep. Why do you care? Her and her new member class can help form their reputation
