Things I have it bad for: LL Cool J, lawd that man and his lips; Blue Bell French Vanilla ice cream, a brotha who won't duck for cover when times get bad, a punch bowl cake, and my family's annual family reunion

I've got it bad for the dinner my Mother bought me from Sammy's in City Island today.

(People living close to or in the Bronx, NY know about City Island)

I've got it bad for the Whole Foods Market! I am trying to lose weight and possibly become a vegetarian (I don't know yet because I love chicken FAR too much ). Well, I went to the whole foods market to make some groceries. I AM IN LOVE! The place is filled with organic foods. The thing about it is that they have EVERYTHING that you like (meat, snacks, fruit, desserts, etc.), except they don't have all the "extra" stuff in it. And contrary to popular belief, the food isn't nasty or lacking in taste. If you have one in your area, stop by!

Their fruit juice sweetened muffins are great (whole wheat flour and other good stuff).

Whole Foods Market is deep in SoCal. Often times, I get their chicken, their vermicelli salad, or their wild mushroom lasagna. I'm not trying to lose weight on purpose (other than through exercise), so I see them as a gourmet place.

Are you trying to "make" fun of my New Orleans vocabulary?

We are a special kind of folk down here in New Orleans! There are thousands of things that we do and say that can fill a whole GC thread!

In my best Lil' Darryl voice: "LEAVE ME ALONE!"

He was single while I was in a relationship and vice versa. Now, we are both single, but I treasure our friendship so much. So confusing. And I'm scurred to even HINT at the idea of making it more. Lawd. I've never been scurred of men in this way. But I am with him. Anyway... dude called me last night at 1 in the morning while my sick behind was out at the club. Then he called again today telling me he had something to tell me about. I just wonder what it is. My first thought was that he was gonna tell me he was gettin' married. But then again, I would know who it was, right? Lawd, I'm over here pressed, as my kids would say, lol.

Yeah, *sigh* I definitely got it bad for ol' dude. Flaws and all!
I am going through old threads and whatnot. I just have to say, wtf was I trippin' on that I thought he was gon' tell me he was gettin' married???? LMAO That is so funny to me in hindsight. At any rate, I still got it bad, lol. But I'm not scurred anymore. I told him ALMOST everything. *keeping my fingers crossed* I'm a little nervous; this is the first time I've felt vulnerable in a long, long time. I don't like the feeling too much, but I had to say something, cuz he was being just as much of a punk. Funny how history repeats itself, because we have already been down this road, only that was almost 11 years ago (time is really flying). My mind is all jumbled over this, and I didn't really know who to tell. You know how you want to talk to people, but you think they might get tired of hearing what you are talking about? That's how I feel right now, so I came to tell y'all instead, lol. And I know I got it bad, because I have been re-reading old journal entries from freshman year of college. There was a lot of stuff I'd forgotten. *sigh* I feel so nostalgic. / It's bittersweet.
