And of course I thought I could cut it perfectly straight across and then realized it was, what would now be known as, layered. So I kept chopping and chopping and chopping. Poor Barbie's hair was so short it looked terrible.

I think that was Kissing Barbie with the lips that made actual red lip prints when youapplied the special makeup. She was my third Barbie. My first barbie was "Black Barbie" with the Afro and red Afro pick. Yeah, I'm dating myself, but shoot, I liked her and Ken's 'fros. And Ken was a doctor, as well.

I had a red headed Barbie! She was in Barbie and the Rockers. I don't remember her name though. I think it started w/ a D, cause the other two (besides Barbie) were Dana (the Asian one) and DeeDee (the black one). Plus there was Derick. I was so mad when my parents wouldn't buy him. He had real hair! Not the plastic crap like Ken, who was ALSO in the band.

Um, anyway, I had some big@$$ house and I can't remember what it was called, but it was like two feet tall. I gave it to my friend when I got sick of it at like age ten. I also remember crying like forever cuz my babysitter said she'd cut Skipper's hair pretty, but instead she shaved it all off & made Skipper look like a Granny. I was so MAD!

There's also this HILARIOUS book I used to have a few years ago, I think it's called BARBIE UNBOUND. It has all these things like, what if Barbie was....etc.
A few examples I think were in it:

I too had the ghetto townhouse with the elevator that was always breaking! I also had Barbie's beach house and a Barbie swimming pool.

Even more ghetto than the ghetto townhouse - I had a Barbie RV and Barbie camping set - well, I decided my Barbies needed sleeping bags, so they all slept in purple Crown Royal velvet pouches.
