2 of the older women I worked with at Nordstrom were Greek... 1 was a Delta Gamma (!) and the other a Alpha Xi Delta. After I found out the 1 woman was a DG, I felt this connection to her.

Too bad he's 20 because I'm 22, and he's adorable and I'm too old for him. :-D
You gotta admit, there's a big difference in those two years. At least for some!

Well why don't you get to know him. You may find that you have lots in common and that 2 years isn't such a big deal. I'm seeing a guy that is 20 and I'll be 23 in 3 weeks. We have tons in common and the age difference isn't anything at all.

This summer, there was me, a Pi Phi, 2 Lambda Chi Alphas, and the house director for a Chi Omega chapter (who was engaged to another Greek who I didn't get to meet).

Most of the people I work with are older and don't really talk about college life...but I do work with a graduate student who is a Delta Sigma Theta. She's SO awesome...we have these great conversations about Classics stuff.

Is it just me or do y'all find you have a special link when you're dating other greeks?
I've dated three and felt like each time I was a little better "understood" -- maybe because those of us who take greek life so seriously (i.e. feel the need to participate on greekchat!) usually had a very different experience than others realize.
I'm not at school anymore, but still have a ton of Phi Mu stuff, wear my letters occasionally (especially to run -- who else has a ton of event t-shirts?) and am excited to go to sisterhood events. I find myself explaining again and again that no, it's not just a college thing and no, it's not just about getting drunk and sleeping with fraternity members.
There's just something about a guy who doesn't have to be told all that.
The very first conversation we had, Mr. Hi I'm 20 And A Sigma Chi said, "You're one of the weird ones, aren't you?" I just kinda blinked and frowned, and he said -- "It's OK. I am too. One of the ones that wears letters everywhere and knows all the words to all the songs."
*sigh* He's so pretty.

I work with a Phi Sigma Kappa and at one of our stores near school there are 3 Lambda Chi Alphas that work there and an ADPi (that went alum before I joined) used to work there.

There are only two people in the company I work for now, but there is an older Delt from the University of Colorado (Beta Kappa) whom I've known for quite a while working in the office immediately next door.
We have worked together on a number of projects for the local alumni group.

I work for the Student Services Department so there are quite a few Greeks:
Greek Advisor: Alpha Xi Delta
Student Advocate: Phi Beta Sigma
Diversity: Zeta Phi Beta
New Sudent Orientation: Delta Sigma Theta
Housing: Alpha Kappa Alpha
And then us student workers:
Me: Gamma Sigma Sigma
Community Service: Alpha Phi Alpha
SGA: Phi Beta Sigma
There are probably more on both ends, but these are people I know!

So I gotta admit I have butterflies. The Sigma Chi and I got to talking about pinning, and I told him I wanted to see his pledges get pinned -- I really do love seeing it. It makes me think of when I was pinned.
So I kind of invited myself, and then later he was like, "yeah, don't forget about Saturday... I'll take you to the wine & cheese before, as my date."
date? yes/no? thoughts?
Man. If only he wasn't 20. I have so never, ever dated a guy younger than me -- he's 2 yrs. And I highly suspect he's in a "sleep with anything that moves" stage....
