its been forever since I've been to GC. I missed it.
High: Had a nice evening with my 3 best friends from my pledge class. And got to hang out with my cute Kappa Sigma make out partner/buddy.
Low: Its the end of spring break and one of the 3 girls from above got mad at me. My step mom made my break terrible and I have a huge zit on my chin. And one of my best guy friends and I always have movie night and we didn't have it tonight and I really needed to talk with him. And found out Matt got kicked of American Idol...Sorry Erniegirl...
Hopefully this week will get better.

LOL Suzi! I was actually ok when Matt was kicked off of American Idol. Since watching the finals I have two new favorites I'm rooting for. Of course I'm having a total brain fart right now and can't think of their names....George I want to say? And the girl from Hawaii who always wears the flower in her hair. I'm addicted now.
Anyway....
Highs: This weekend marked my 3 year anniversary with my bf, Jeremy. We spent it by seeing Dawn of the Dead (actually it was MY idea. We like scary/zombie movies.) and by going out to eat.
I decided to go to IU's grad school. It was my decision, and I'm happy with it. Yes, the fight with my parents is now over.
Lows: Tonight was my last Pi Phi chapter. It was a very bitter sweet time.
PS. Jharb, sweetie I hope you feel better!!!

Thanks so much erniegurl!
Highs: ummm...having enough change to buy a sprite at the vending machine?!? (there haven't been many highs lately)
Lows: having this icky stomach virus which made me miss senior walkout last night...90% of my closest Pi Phi friends are seniors and I feel horrible I missed their advice portion of chapter!
If anyone knows of any cures to a very nasty stomach virus please send them my way!

Highs: The parents of my clients are the best! They let me switch my therapy times so I can go back to IU with a fav teacher of mine to really explore the campus and meet faculty/students.
Lows: I think I just open a virus onto my computer, but no matter what I do I can't find anything wrong on my computer. I just know that something is there!
Jharb, you're just going to have to let the stomach flu pass. Keep fluids in as much as possible, and try to keep crackers or any other bread product in if you can. If you want to know the advice just ask me. Mine was just to wear your badge proudly and correctly. You know how anal I am about wearing it right.

High: I opened my first movie rental account last night all by myself... I feel proud.
Low: Some girls in my chapter are really making me mad... they keep talking about how to respect each other and then it is those girls that disrespect some of their sisters. They were on full force yesterday at meeting. My one pet peeve is hypocrites!

High: A phenomenal bonding experience this past weekend with 50+ outstanding Pi Phi ladies at the Regional Leadership Retreat (something you all can look forward to attending as alumnae!!)
Low: Working 24-on/ 24-off/24-on (I'm currently in the 2nd 24 hour shift)... total of 60 hours this week because a colleague went into labor 6 weeks early.
jharb-- if by 'stomach flu' you mean that awful gastroenteritis that has you praying to the porcelain goddess at all-too-frequent intervals, my advice (and I am a nurse) is to keep hydrated. Clear liquids with sugar... jello, sport drinks or pediatric rehydrating drinks (try pedialyte pops), sprite (let it sit a little so it doesn't make you burp). Of course, I swear by my mom's cure-all Canada Dry ginger ale and Campbell's chicken noodle soup.... hope you feel better soon!!
I'm looking forward to Founder's Day too! I've been invited to attend the celebration with a Club near mine where the guest of honor is our Grand President!!

Highs: This week is almost over! I only have three more weeks of school until I am officially over.
Lows: I'm going to miss our Swing into Spring kickoff. Also, I'm anxiously waiting by the mailbox to see if I've been offered financial aid from IU. I hate waiting.

High: Registered for classes next semester got into all the classes I wanted, including a horse back riding class.
Low: Amy Adams got kicked off AI. She wasn't one of my favorites but I liked her. I really need to get a life b/c I'm addicted to American Idol!

I wonder who was kicked off! I've missed AI this week. I'm happy my favorite contestants are still in it!
PS. Suzi, what a horrible April Fool's joke! My jaw definitely dropped. LOL
Highs: I had a great therapy session! One of my client's, a four year old boy, told me I was pretty today. How cute is that? Also, today was the first day he's called me by my name. It's taken almost a full school year, but he did it! His mother wants me to babysit him this summer, and I'm tickled pink to see him a bit more before I leave for grad school.
Lows: I was afraid I had the stomach flu this morning. I woke up sick to my stomach around 5am, but it's seemed to have passed (for now!) It seems like everyone I know has it.

OOO-- that was a good APril fool (doing what I do for a living, I believed you!)
My HIGH: birthday party for one of my former clients who will be one-year old tomorrow! He's up to 14 pounds and can sit up and is now off the ventilator for one hour/day!! (for those who are thinking that's an April Fools, sorry, it isn't... he started off ~700 grams and gave me more than one gray hair as I sweated blood and tears pulling him through those first 5 months before he went home from the NICU)
LOW: precepted a student NP today who was totally and absolutely clueless and unmotivated. I love working with students but it's hard when someone is unprepared for their clinical rotations and I would not trust to function independantly in a staff position, but I'm supposed to be training them to be in advanced practice??
