Someone very close and important to me passed on this week. I am trying to be strong, for myself and everyone, but I'm having an incredibly hard time. Prayers for me and my family would be very much appreciated.

As some of you know from my postings back in May, my Dad passed away on May 2nd.

Overnight last night, his brother-in-law, my uncle, passed away from complications due to Parkinson's and dementia. He was the husband of one of my Dad's late sisters. My Dad's oldest sister is still with us.

My uncle was one of the founding fathers of my chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha, and I'm proud to have called him my brother also.

2014 has been a really crappy year.

Asking for prayers and positive energy for my dear brother. He has suffered with pain all along his spine for about four years. He has had two lower back surgeries. In the last year and a half, the pain has been focused in his head, neck, shoulder, and arm. He has had one failed surgery this year. He is in constant pain. He is still employed, but currently on leave. He is the sole support of his family of four, and I am so concerned for his pain and his future. He is a good bit younger than I am, but he and I have always had a very special bond. He, quite simply, is the best man I know.

I am so sorry, amIblue?. You are in my thoughts and prayers! I hope your brother can find relief from his pain somehow.

I'm asking for prayers for my little hometown community that has just experienced a terrible tragedy. I can't go into much detail on here, but the entire community has suffered a tremendous loss and we are all struggling to cope with it. Please keep us in your thoughts, and prayers if you do pray. Thank you.
