I have never been very good at rhyme
As you can plainly see
But this thread is much too good
To be buried on Page 3

Too many threads today
With way too much a-bickering
I'd rather come and read these rhymes
Which can leave me a-snickering

So join in on the fun
Yes, I am talking to you
Because I am out of ideas
So this poem- it's through

I'm at work on a Saturday
Working hard to earn
Overtime pay.

Driving me up a wall, my parents are
Away from them I'd like to get
Very, very, very, very, very, very far.
I'd get there in my old car.

And this flu that's going around
I hope I dont get it
Because then I'd be homebound
And in my living room
Forced to sit
With no access to GC
And I aint havin that isht. lol

I believe it was Blondie93 who requested this thread be resurrected. So I've created a rhyme. Like to hear it? Here it go.

ODE TO ONLINE SHOPPING by nittanyalum

I remember when shopping over the internet
started up back in the day,
I, like many others, was suspicious
Type in my cc number??? No way!

As we both aged and gained experience
My trust in the lock icon grew
I tentatively placed my first order
And my days trudging to the mall were through!

Oh, iTunes, Amazon and Target Online
How did I ever doubt an experience so divine?

I point and I click and what I need's on its way
If I feel like scoring a great deal, I head over to ebay!

Late at night in my pjs
Or quick between lunch and a meeting,
I get all my shopping done painlessly
Though my free time is so fleeting.

From Christmas presents to birthday balloons
Wedding gifts to baby showers
If I click, they'll wrap and mail it
Or the old stand-by, just send flowers!

Oh, online shopping I now adore you
I don't know how I did it before
Get dressed? Stand in line? Pay with cash?
Ugh, what a bother and a bore.

omg im glad to be alive
the way it went down, i think i couldve died.
i was driving home with a soror from the burgh
two sorors were inducted, eee-yips were all you heard!
i driving east on route 78
who knew that i would meet my fate?
a truck came at me from the right
i swerved to the left but unbeknowst to my sight
there was another truck, and i was sandwiched in between
the second truck dragged my car for a 1/2 mile doing the gangsta lean
surprisingly, we made it out in one piece
but my car? well its totaled, the rides will cease
so thats why i havent been here in a few days
but the strength of the lord, and my sorors, never ceases to amaze!
so i woke up to see another day...
but now i see, for GC, we might have to pay?
i hope not, that would be wack!
ok, meds are kicking in, im about to hit the sack!

The words the and flee are interesting to me/
When I read your poems in key, they fill me with glee/
Simple words, spoken and chosen/
To be laid down on paper, symbols to be broken/

Why am I up this late chatting with a troll
When I should be studying or sleeping in my little cubby hole
Then again it's my fault if I get myself into a rut
All because I was chatting with an idiot.

Chatting with an idiot?, we're posting in rhyme/
So get back to your studying, stop wasting your time/
I thought you were cheerful, but you seem quite not/
I'm skilled at my free game, and my green's type hot/
