SuperXO,

I couldnt agree with you more on the blinker thing. I think the only time I've seen it used more is when I've lived on a military base and that was a long time. Believe it or not my Mom got pulled over(by a Marine MP) for not using her blinker once when making a turn.

Its gotten so bad, that I've considered taking around a magic marker to correct signs that are wrong.
Juniorgrrl, I agree with you, but I also think people shouold learn the special case of its and it's!! People all too often say thinkgs like, "trying to find it's way..." or something. In any case, it's not that big a deal, but I think it's something people are bad at, even in formal papers. I could care less on this board, but remember when writing something formal, its as a possessive is the one time you DON'T use the apostrophe!

Hey, Kevin! I'm really sorry for your mom about being pulled over. But, at the same time I am glad someone cares!

You know, I have often wanted to invent an electronic, LED type sign that I mount on top of my car and it writes out what I speak. Like I'd say, "Use your blinker, Bozo!" and it would print that and the person would be able to see it and "realize their mistake."

Red face

One more thing that is a sort of pet peeve which I just did myself is when people say I could care less. I mean, isn't the person usually trying to imply that they don't care and therefore COULDN'T care less? Saying I could care less implies that you do care about something. I guess I caught myself!

SuperXO,

No problem about my Mom. I dont think she even got ticked. Just warned. The MPs are definitely geshtapo like in the way they police. I love your idea with the sign. How about a big bumper sticker too. Something really catchy.

1. Roommates who are physically incapable of cleaning up after themselves. You know it's your empty pizza box so take it out to the dumpster!!!
2. People who talk during a movie. You pay $8 to get into the theater so you may as well watch the movie and get your money's worth!
3. Slow drivers.
4. People who chew with their mouth open. EW!

LOL! It's bad either way! But, accidents do happen at times. To do it INTENTIONALLY shows a total lack of consideration for other people and that makes it worse, also they tend to be "repeat offenders".

Here we go......

1) Roommates who think that it is perfectly fine to come barging in drunk off their ass at 4 a.m. and turn all the lights on to get ready for bed, and then have the audacity to tell me to be quiet when I am getting ready for my 8 a.m. class.

2) People who park in handicapped places without permits or placards. Some of us actually need those spaces......not to mention that it is against the law.

3) So-called friends who start dating your ex-boyfriend a week after we break up.

4) People who become absolute scenes when they are drunk. Learn your limits.

5) TWO WORDS. BUTT CLEAVAGE Girls either stop wearing low riding pants, or start putting on a belt, because the last thing that anybody wants to see is the crack of your a$$ hanging out with your g-string running through the middle of it. EWW

6) People who insist on frying themselves on the beach, all in the name of "getting a good tan". As a skin cancer survivor, trust me, you'll be wishing that you had never layed out once you have surgery to remove large chunks of your cancerous skin. (Think of it this way people, I am only 21, and have massive scars on my back from having cancer removed, all because when I was in my early teens, I just HAD to have a tan that rivaled the color of my very black hair) I don't step outside today with out SPF 30 sunblock on.

Oh, UNO's campus is the worst! Especially when you have those darn shuttle busses that think they own the road infront of the MBSC! URG! One time I was waiting for a lady to back out from the meters and I had my signal on. Then the shuttle bus comes up behind me...almost rear-ends me, and honks. I was like, WTF?!?! He was a matter of meters away from where he NORMALLY drops people off...can't he just let them out and wait for me to pull into my space? HOW RUDE~
