Okay, keep in mind that I now know people from each of these chapters and they are all very sweet, wonderful girls that any sorority would be lucky to have as members. With that caveat:
Mocha = Zeta Tau Alpha
Cappuccino = Alpha Chi Omega
Espresso = Delta Delta Delta
Cafe Au Lait = Kappa Delta
Macchiato = Kappa Kappa Gamma
Americano = Chi Omega
Ristresso = Alpha Delta Pi
French Press = Pi Beta Phi
Latte = Kappa Alpha Theta
I later met most of Espresso's pledge class and realized I TOTALLY would not have felt comfortable with them. So it really is true that sometimes the girl rushing you knows best!
Hope I've been mildly entertaining!

Kappa didn't have a recognized organizational philanthropy until a few years ago. There was an emphasis on women's and children's rehabilitation, but each chapter could really do its own thing. Even now I don't think all the chapters/alumnae associations understand our connection with Reading Is Fundamental

Love, just a random question... did you affiliate with the ZTA at UT-Austin when you transferred?

Great story - and I didn't know what school or anything.
I think I'd be up for a re-affiliating thread, if you'd be interested in doing so. We only had one woman affiliate while I was in school, and it was 1-2-3. It would be interesting to hear somebody else's.

I agree, I think a re-affiliating thread would be interesting. I've heard it can be very easy or really difficult depending on the school and chapter.
