So, what do YOU do?
I thought it might be interesting to hear the careers of fellow GCers! I'll start...
Starting August 2007, I'll be a high school counselor!

My brother is a vet and on the admissions board for a very big SEC school. CVs are very big as are actual interviews! Keep it relaxed, yet personable in your speech. And good luck.

I'm currently an Office Manager for a home health company...but I'm working on my BSW (Social Work) and plan to get my master's and become licensed. My ultimate goal is to one day open my own agency.

So, I know this post is old, but I had to say something.
Go into exotic animals and you'll have very loyal business. I have two chinchillas and the only exotic animal specialist is in Raleigh, so I plan on moving closer once I graduate.
And, us lovers of exotic animals need some well trained, highly qualified vets to take care of our babies.

After playing around in Television Production Management for about 25 years, I've gone back to where I started.
I'm a television director.

I love exotic animals and I thought about that, but exotic animal specialists are hard to locate at times. There's just so many laws regarding exotic pets. A lot of exotic animals are bred in captivity but the laws in some states still apply. But believe me, I thought about that for a long time.

Let me amend mine a bit...my coworker just put in her two week, so I'm now going to be doing her job and mine. Which comes with a raise and major ass kissing by my boss. I think I might enjoy this for awhile. So I guess I'm now an Office Manager/Project Coordination. Does that make me an Office Coordinator??

I am an eligibility worker for a county government. I determine and maintain eligibility for families who receive food stamps, Medicaid and TANF. I make referrals to other county programs or agencies or non profits when necessary. Its a LOT of paperwork, a ginormous caseload (~500 right now), policy, training and political issues, especially immigration. On the other hand, most of my coworkers are amazing and I like my job. Most days.

Manager of Marketing and Inside Sales for a manufacturer's representative firm in the chemical and plastics industry.
Not exciting or all that interesting.
Not bad though, it's a family business so I have good job security and a stake in the success of the company. It makes me work harder (when I'm not wasting time on the internet).
Oh well, I won't get fired

I work for a payroll company, it sucks, but I get paid well and I'm moving up fast and hopefully will start getting some good management experience in the next few years as well as start and finish up a masters and then I'll branch out.
I actually am going to play the "take a week and a half off and figure out WTF I can/want/should do for my next real career move and what sort of masters/credential I need in order to advance towards that goal and then play the "what school can I get into AND afford in order to get this degree or credential"
Oh life.
