So is elephant walking in line with the original fraternity in every form?

Is it ignorance if one is not informed? Is everyone not in a BGLO ignorant? I have seen Elephant Walk and others ask real questions in numerous threads that have gone unanswered.

Isn't that one of the definitions of ignorant? See the dictionary link above.

Then how can you throw it in a person's face that they are ignorant if they have tried and no one explains?

...Where does that come from? Why was this asked?

I've asked multiple times about different BGLO stuff and no one seems to answer. The only reason that many blacks are only a little ignorant is because white society pervades black society. Then black members try to portray whites as racist and ignorant purely because we don't know every facet of their minimally important (to our daily life) culture.

edit: Example of not being answered, see: "APhiA B-Day thread"

What does his SN have anything to do with it?

....and some of you people need to get a clue. Many of us have asked questions about Black greek life that go completely ignored. Usually the response is something like "if you aren't in one you don't need to know." Ignorance take on quite a negative connotation. Even know they share the same definition.....I think there is a difference between being ignorant and unimformed. Ignorant makes you come across like an idiot.

Hummmm-You believe that all members of fraternities drink? All GLO's drink?
While I was active, we had at least two Brothers in the house that did not drink at all.

And I no longer do by choice.

(I realize it was a joke. Just a very bad one. If it weren't a joke, it could be misconstrued as sexual harrassment.)
What happend with that? I didn't hear that one. I gotta hear this, why didn't they want the Ques moving in?

It was a joke, but she brought it on herself with her ignorance, plus I don't harrass anyone.

O.K. ladies and gents, lets just drop this thread. I knew where this was going as soon as I saw it. Let's just talk about the movie and agree that predominantly white GLOs and predominantly black GLOs are different so of course we are not going to agree with our differences. Stepping is lame to some if not all predominantly white greek organizations, and Toga parties, tug of war, bing drinking ect. is lame to predominantly black greek organizations, so lets either drop this thread or agree to disagree. Is everyone cool with that? Seriously, because I can already see that race and that kind of crap is going to start coming up. We're all college educated people, we can agree to disagree. C'mon.

Yes.

Yes--if you unaware of practices that are specific to BGLOs you are ignorant of them. That doesn't mean you HAVE to be aware of them. But if you are going to speak on something in a jestful or serious way, try to be informed or shut the hell up.

"Real questions" is based on perception. If they care so much, they can search the GC archives just like other people do when they have reoccuring questions.

Here's my post on page 4 when shinerbock suggested on dropping it.

So are folks gonna drop it or not?
