midwesterngirl - totally agree on Kart. my gf and I play TONS of it. We have 3 steering wheels, and are about to get the 4th for when friends come over to play.
GH - Aerosmith is on pre order. There may be about 4 guitars and every GH game version out in my home... ...

I got my Wii Fit today. It told me I had shit for balance. Sadly, I already knew that.
Add me to the list of people that love MarioKart. I play it all the time! Even though I'm really not that good at it yet.

i too havent enjoyed a game system since Super NES (dont know why its my fav... but its near and dear to the heart). MarioKart is one of my favorites and i bet it is superawesome on Wii.
i played Wii bowling at a party one night (yes, half drunk and on a huge flat screen) and it was the freaking WIN. and Wii Fit looks awesome too.
i dont know, however, if starting a video game addiction is good for unemployment.

LOL...I love to freak people out with this. My mom has this hobby of entering all these online contests and sweepstakes. About a year ago, from one contest, she was a first prize winner and won a 32" LCD TV, a PS3, and 2 PS3 games.
She has also since won 2 Wiis, one of which we kept, the other we gave to my Uncle. Now...I really am not into video games, however I love playing bowling on the Wii!!!

I love my Wii! I am addicted to Mario Kart!!!! I don't care for the steering wheels though! I usually plug in the numchuck and use that!

My parents (empty nesters that they are) just had to have a Wii. I got to play for the first time on Monday and am now hooked. We only played Wii sports, but it was great. Now I want one for my hubby and myself.

For those of you who have Wii Fit -
Do you like it so far? I'm trying to decide if it is worth the money to get it right now. Also, what all can you do with it? I have heard you can do yoga, balance training, and strength training.
From this website http://www.nintendo.com/wiifit/launch/ it seems interesting.

I love Wii fit. There's yoga, strength-training, aerobics, and balance training. As you do things and spend time on it, you unlock more exercises. I've been playing for 45 minutes to an hour for 5 days so far and I've lost a couple of pounds.

I just got my Wii Fit today and I love it. It kicked my ass with the whole balance thing, though!

Me either. I stink at the balance games, and I was a gymnast growing up.

OK, so I'm bumping this thread back up since I've only had my Wii for the past 2weeks. I LOVE it though. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Wii Fit.
So if you have Wii, PM your code and we can play against each other. Same thing for Animal Crossing -- love to *know* someone there.

Is Animal Crossing like Second Life but on the Wii?
I'm super excited for the new Rayman game - live-in had never played it before so we got the first one, and we saw the commercials for the new one and both said immediately "SLEDDING WITH THE WII FIT BOARD! SWEET!" because we're looking for other games to play with that thing (besides Wii Fit, which is still fun).
We have Tetris Party, too (you can get it through the Wii Store Channel for like 10 bucks as a download) which is JUST AS ADDICTING AS IT ALWAYS WAS, and you can also play it with the balance board although we haven't figured that part out yet.

I'm bumping this because I am getting a Wii (it's imminent!) and I need to know which accessories are a necessity.
I know it comes with one controller.
Right now I am thinking I will need one extra controller and two wheels (if I want to play Mario Kart, which I do).
I am not one hundred percent sold on getting the Wii Fit and the mat, but I can be swayed.
My preliminary research seems to show that the things like the golf club and tennis racket are cute, but not necessary -- is this true?
Links to accessory bundles you have had personal experience with would be helpful.
Thankies in advancies.
