She is quickly gaining votes, but I'm not worried yet (Ok, that's totally not true, I'm stressed out, but I'm getting better and starting to calm down a bit). I really didn't care about winning at first, but now that we're in it this deep I'd hate to lose!! Especially after all of you have helped SO VERY MUCH!!!

I think you're right though. I think it's really going to come down to the last few days of voting. It's going to be a race to the finish line!! I have a few ideas to get more votes, so we'll see!

For the contest you had to write about someone who had treated you "decadently" (not decent). Their words, not mine. Wouldn't have been my word choice since it's quite a mouthful, but their contest and I'm not complaining because the thought of me being a finalist in an essay contest is a bit crazy too!!

We're now only ahead by 92 votes!!!! This stinks!!!! I'm trying to stay calm. We do have 2 more weeks so there is a lot of time left. The last few days are going to be the most important.

I was thinking of entering another contest but then saw the winner would be chosen by online voting. UGH!!

ETA: Whoah -- just two minutes ago that lady had 2518 votes and now she's got 2530! That's not cool!

I need your opinion; what do you all think.....

This contest is getting so ridiculous and it's so easy to cheat, which I have a feeling others may be doing. I could just sit at my computer and make up a bunch of email addresses, enter them in, and the votes will go up. I really don't want to do that, nor do I want to do it for the next 2 weeks until the voting is over.

Do you think we should call the sponsor and ask if they're going to somehow verify email addresses or what they're going to do to verify this is all legitimate? But then on the other hand I don't want to make a big issue out of it all because they could just cancel the whole contest.

What do you all think?
