uh yeah...try telling that to the Iraqi's!

I know everyone is sick of hearing about my husband who just finished a 15 month deployment in Iraq, but we just got some great pictures. One is of Sadaam's lions...the ones he fed random people to...complete with human skelatal remains scattered about. Doesn't that sound like fun?

I'm really too tired to comment on what Shortfuse has been saying. I just don't have time for the naive who take what the media says as the gospel. Do you work for CBS? While there may not have been WMD, there certainly were MANY warehouses full of weaponry. This includes material for all types of bombs. You obviously don't like Bush...great...thanks for sharing.

First of all I'm sorry to hear that your husband had to spend 15 months in Iraq, now about the maneating lion story I'm not so sure about that one by the way was not it Uday who own lions?
Of course they found warehouses w/weapons must nation's armed forces have weapons don't they, Bush attacked Iraq b/c he stated they had WMDs not your aveage run of the mill military weapons.

I don't think average military units keep stockpiles of bomb making pieces...not guns and ammo. Everything from wiring and timer thingies to the pipes to put them in. I'm talking blowing up buses type of things, not arms.

Again, don't believe everything you see on tv. These lions were from one of Sadaam's palaces...a very beautiful place I might add.

His regime was confirmed to have committed genocide as recently as 2001. Your flipant statement speaks volumes about your character, as well as the credibility of your political "analysis."

ETA Please don't respond to this post if you don't know what genocide is.

First off, I want to salute your husband for carrying out his orders and putting his life on the line.

Now since you called me out, I must say this.

Re-read your own statement. Warehouses full of weaponry? EVERY COUNTRY has weapons, yes including bombs. Like it was stated, we didn't go to war over warehouses of weaponry.

Media as the gospel? I wouldn't say that as a freelance journalist, we only report what is given to us. Some people pile on to make it good and whatnot, but that's the basis. (I wished I work for CBS, I can pay off some of these bills). I don't take it as the gospel, but my article was from ABC not CBS. CNN also has the same article. EVEN THE PRESIDENT have confirmed this. So I'm not making it up or reaching for stuff that isn't there.

I won't argue or try to make Saddam into a nice guy because he wasn't. He's been doing that for years? So are we now going to show outrage to the Reagan and Carter administrations for helping him get to power? I mean where was the he's a bad guy in the late 90s when we were more interested in who was giving Bill Clinton some satisfaction? It seems that people want to believe that Saddam started torturing his people in 2001. This just isn't true and we know it.

Finally,

That is all.

Every military has bombs, bomb making pieces, guns and ammo. EVERYBODY, the Brittish, French, Germans, Canadians, etc........ And yes they have the stuff that blow up buses, tanks, buildings, etc........

And you called me naive?

You figured me out. I'm not even going to insult you by replying. I'll just go back and live in my blissful ignorant life of rainbows and unicorns, and pray for my husband's safety as he goes off to the flowery middle east again in May. And let freelance journalist's, such as yourself, continue to 'inform' the public about what he's REALLY doing...since I obviously don't know.

Oh, and thanks for doing such a great job at that!

Not going to insult you maam, just saying that it's crazy to believe that only Iraq have those type of weapons that you say were found. But once again, I'm not here to insult you.

The freelance journalist thing wasn't so much as to tell you I know it all, but just to say how things are "spiced" up from the journalistic side. Please don't feel that I spoke to you in a "superior" tone. That wasn't the point I was trying to make.

I'll pray for your husband's as well as everybody else's safety.

You sound like a fool, there is no REAL proof that Saddam committed genocide as recently as 2001 I suggest that you quit watching Fox news so much.

Would you care to name one instance in which the Iraqi goverment under Saddam's rule blewup a bus or any other terrorist act for that matter. I believe you have the Iraq under Saddam's rule mixed up w/the Iraq now under U.S occupation.
I repeat this again Iraq had no WMDs which is the reason why Bush went to war in Iraq and now the world is not a safer place w/o Saddam being the president of Iraq.

I never doubt that, but we didn't go in because of genocide.

Come on fellas, I wanted to see some spin for lack of WMDs. You're not even trying.

This debate has been going on for over a year now any reasonable person would have known that Saddam had no WMDs and for the record the world is not a safer place w/o Saddam.
You are one ignorant moron. He killed 1 million of my fellow Iranians. There are children's bodies people find every day.

You know nothing. You are one dumb American who is ignorant beyond belief.

come on buddy, I already laid waste to your entire line of reasoning, and addressed the lack of WMDs in earlier posts. Stop being obtuse and starting addressing issues raised in the thread. I'm not going to try anymore b/c you frankly don't seem to care what other people post, you'll just go "NO WMD, YOU AREN'T EVEN TRYING"
