The President's Badge has diamonds in the six wings. It is a traveling badge; handed from President to President. However, each President may order one for her own use.

Oh, darn! I knew it had something to do with the wings!

Here's a new question. Since I'm ritual advisor for a collegiate chapter, this one hits home for me...

What jewelry is a sister allowed to wear while attending an Initiation or Pledging In ceremony?

Engagement ring or wedding ring. Also if you need a medical id bracelet, that's okay.

You mean the badge? I don't consider that jewelry though...it seems too serious to call it jewelry.

You got it, dzsaigirl! By the way, I agree with you that jewelry isn't a term many people use to describe our badge, but that's how it is referred to when listing what is/isn't acceptable for ceremonies.

Great job! Want to come and talk to my girls about this question? I had some really irate sisters a few months ago when I told them that earrings, noserings, etc. had to be removed before entering the Initiation room. They acted so shocked, and I KNOW that this isn't new information to them.

But you called them flames instead of wings. There is only one flame on the badge and everyone's flame has a diamond. The things on the sides are wings Achtung.

I know some good trivia. How many times a year does the chapter have to submit an audit? This is tricky 'cause it changed recently.

Thumbs up

That's a very good question! I was never much into the financial side of our chapter, or the one that I help advise now, so I haven't got a clue. It'll be interesting to find out, though.

I'm going to guess 2 audits per year -- just off the top of my head.

Talking Trivia

Hey I Know This one!!

There are 3 audits every year, March, July, and November I believe. (I was just elected to Treasurer, so I've been immersing myself in the manuals!)

Wow, it's been a really long time since i've posted! Hope everything is going well. For those who missed it in the recent lamp - My chapter won the school spirit stick, placed second overall in the homecoming float compition, and had both our king candidate and our sister, queen candidate win for homecoming royality. It was really special, because last year's queen was a DZ as well, it was nice to see one of our own crown another one of our own. - okay that's all i'll put here -

Star Turtle,

Congratulations to your chapter! It sounds like y'all are doing great things on your campus to have been recognized so much lately! Keep us updated!

DZLAM,
Carrie

You're right. 3 times a year.

Good luck with being treasurer. I personally hated it. Nothing like sending your sisters to the collection agency to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside

A little advice: Keep your income and expense sheets CONSTANTLY updated. You don't want to be doing that the night before the audit is due. Also, don't let people talk to you about treasurer crap at parties...believe me, they will try.
