That's just from my knowledge...
I refuse to believe Sigma Chi isn't in the top THREE. I don't think I've ever heard of a weak Sig Chi chapter

My suggestion would be to address your concerns to either FEA or to your HQ.

Funny, we have an officer on the board and that information is still old. I have a feeling it's not really too strong of an association and wonder what it is they do.

The question on the table is how many active (open) colliegiate chapters does each group have.

I'm counting that right now and I emailed my friend at HQ. I was mostly referring to the fact that we have over 100,000 members

PS: My cousin just proposed to his girlfriend, who is a Chi Omega, this past weekend...

Not only is Ariesrising's more likely to up to date but all around better.

But remember y'all, the information on these sites are only as good as the information they are given. As are all the GLO's sites.

I can do a lot of things with numbers and statistics and can create all sorts of financial models and regressions, but the most basic thing of all that you learn is the numbers have to be right. These numbers just aren't right.

I am of the belief that there simply are no numbers for fraternities and sororities. What I mean by that is that numbers are not verifiable at the least and often old and outdated even so. If I am wrong on that I'd like to see the numbers from NIC - not just on sizes but endowments et al.

We have 100,000+ Sorors. 800+ chapters.

I believe all NPHC orgs have either at or above 100,000 members.

I wholeheartedly agree.

What I'd like to also see is retention, GPA, and graduation rates.

I present this challenge to anyone. Find us the numbers to any of these. These have to be official numbers and they have to be recent. I have tried to, but never got far.

This is a challenge I doubt anyone will take. It would be a huge undertaking and would require all organizations and institutions to participate for it to work. I just don't see that happening.

See I was hoping NIC or one of the umbrella orgs would be willing to do it or had the numbers and then shared. But again, in all honesty, I don't believe in this ever occuring.

Tri Delta has:

134 chapters right now -- 138 by next spring
350 alum chapters
210,000+ initiated members -- that was the last count I heard, I'm sure it's more by now

Technically, we have +/- 197 chapters but about +/-86 that are dormant. The good thing however, is that Sigma Kappa is now going to not only expand & open new chapters, we are also going to recolonize at many of the dormant ones too!

This information is as accurate as of 2001 so of course the numbers have changed. I'm just not sure as to how much it's changed. I'll have to ask HQ.
