Tom, DO NOT put DeltAlum and LXAAlum in the same category as yourself and Conard. They share their wisdom and experiences, yet they do not patronize or otherwise offend other GCers. Their posts are always clear and understandable, and they tend not to say anything if it isn't relevant to the issue at hand. As a result, they are among the most respected GC posters.

You two, on the other hand, may have good things to say, but they are overshadowed by offensive speech (DO NOT blame your age on this; my grandparents are into their 80s and know the difference between offensive speech and inoffensive, even in this PC time), patronizing terms (women's sororities ARE not "girls' societies," they do not refer to younger GCers as "honey" or "sweetie,") and the like. We are all appreciative of the work that alumni/alumnae do for our chapters; for that we are ALL very grateful and no doubt give our alums the utmost respect. But respect, like so much in life, is earned and not simply granted because you may have pledged years earlier. The fact that so much of what you say borderlines on misogyny and bigotry is neither here nor there for this conversation, but it just adds to the reasons why so many of us wish we could ignore moderators.

In other words, DeltAlum and LXAAlum have earned our respect; you and Conard have not.

Oh wow, I am impressed by both of you saying that We do not hold a candle to the two Men in the afformentioned posts!

I have conversed with both of these Gentlemen, Oh, Did I Say Gentlemen, yes I did.

What for you of the unknowing, was asking a question of what they thought of this thread and some of the posts. That is and was asking for a response from them! Do I have Respect for them, Why, yes I do.

Some of the triteness of some of the posters go a long way to be-------------! Oh, you may each fill in the blanks if you so desire.

Bashing, Flaming, Trashing or name calling is putting many of you in the level of life that each desearves. So I have come to the conclusion, that E C, T E ages and experience have no experience of life to try to pass along. So, again, I ask DA and S H if they would like to add anything for the smartest people on site who cannot figure out which shadow to get out of.

Munch, you have no idea about comparisons between My Self, Erik, D A and LXAAlum. If you have not walked in the shoes, then you have no idea! You are being presumptious in your statement!

If you are going to quote something, keep it in the same context.

Ok Tom. I will not write one thing about your spelling or grammar. We can avoid that and I'll still prove my point.

You say there's no proof? Munchkin provided proof like a good research paper First paragraph- the synopsis- why DeltAlum and LXAAlum are different. Second paragraph- the meat of the paper- She acknowledges possible arguments to her viewpoint by saying that you do offer wisdom and great experience, but because of your lack of respect/effort to respect people here, your knowledge is overshadowed. She then further adds examples of how you are disrespectful. That's something I call PROOF. Third paragraph- restating the thesis- why they have earned our respect and you have not.

Since I "ride the wind of I follow"...I'll be happy to add my own two cents. I didn't think it was necessary, but just to let you know I have my own opinion I'll do it. Everyone is correct that you are both valuable assets to helping us all with the real reason we came here- to understand and appreciate greek life. But you have been told repeatedly that your language is offensive, and for men with college degrees I'd like to think your mind is capable of changing your vocabulary or way you present ideas depending on to whom you're speaking. I refuse to believe that you made it through college and what seems like a successful life, and never learned to adapt.

Let's say we're all wrong, that you guys are completely appropriate and we're just snobby, crazy kids. When you know how many people you're offending, couldn't you at least do us the FAVOR of trying to speak with respect? You expect it from us but can't make the attempt to give it in return. That's something I just don't get.

No I'm not, I'm simply using what you give me. I didn't come on this site yesterday--it's quite obvious, after a while, who has gained the respect of most GCers and who hasn't, and why. I use what you give me--which is, frankly, not much--to make my comparison.
