No doctorate in rocket science is needed for figuring out my GC nickname...

AlphaSig = the nickname for my fraternity, Alpha Sigma Phi
OU = where I went to college - The University of Oklahoma, popularly known as OU.

Hootie

When I was active in Chi Omega we had this stuffed owl that we would pass along from sister to sister at the end of meeting each week. It was done as a gesture of love.
Well the poor thing had been passed on for a few years and was starting to look ratty. I'll never forget how this one sister decided that HOOTIE needed a bath. So she stuck him in the washer and dryer. The next week HOOTIE came to meeting in a paper sack. When the sister got up to present the new sister with him she busted up laughing and explained what she'd done. HOOTIE had an afro.

So I chose to name myself Hootie (back in the day) because he represented sharing the sisterhood.

Ok, my name is Tiffany. Most people named Tiffany go by Tiff, but not me I had a great grandfather with false teeth. When I was born he called me "Tiff" and it came out "TIP." The name stuck. In fact, everyone in high school and most of my chapter called/calls me Tip.

My family and my husband call me Tippie. Tippiechick is a play on the term "hippiechick." I am NOT a hippie in any way; a friend of mine coined the term in high school just b/c I always spoke my mind and went "against the system..."

Long story, I know...

AOIISilver, again not hard to figure out....

AOII=I am an AOII. (Yes, the II is the official way to make a Pi with a typewriter when used as our fraternity name)

Silver=I am old, and I collect old silverware.

Yes, I know collecting forks, knives, and spoons is odd; but it is a better hobby that making hats out of aluminum foil to protect against alien and governmental brain scans.

Rudey, I am so said that your user name is based on music. All along I have thought that you were this really sympathetic, hard-working, never-say-die, honest-as-the-day-is-long character like Rudey in the movie Rudey!

It's my very favorite song in the whole widey-wide world. Has nothing to do with my dancing ability ( not with my two bad knees)

I'll have to ask my mom. She has all of the family birth certificates.

AOIIAlum,
My 92-year-old grandfather has been telling me since October, "You need to do something with your hair..you are starting to look old...I think you look older than your mother!" (Literally, just like the father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding ). For his Christmas present, I had my hair cut (My hair is no longer all the way to my rear, and I have bangs), and I have started wearing make-up. My students have made NUMEROUS comments.....Now if I could only afford Botox....

Rudey,
Rudey in the movie was constantly being hurt and jumped right back into practice, too! But what about this statement.....
Quote:
I just don't want to come into work bruising my beautiful face and unable to think because oh hey I took a couple right in the head.
?????

Happiness,
AOIISilver (feeling like Gandalff the Grey and wishing for cosmetic surgery...)
