I still have my colony pledge pin, and my colony brother badge. You need to contact Poseiden and ask him. I'd hate to think that you got overlooked.

I don't think we are the only ones, but we are one of the few that have the same pins, and no choice of anything but the standard gold pin unless you have been active in the national level over 10 years, then you can have the white gold one. There are no extra jewels, perals, nothing, because the six pearls on our pin have to do with the six pearls you need to earn during the NM process
The pearl is an important symbol for AEPhi and that is why we only have one pin. It wouldn't have the same meaning if wasn't only in pearls.

I think its unique that our Beta Chapter was founded less than two months after our Alpha. I also don't think anyone else uses the giraffe as a mascot.

We use the giraffe as the main course at our Founders Day banquets. Tastes just like chicken.

Sigma Pi has a seperate colony pin. It is known as the Founding Father's Pin

there is something so wrong about eating your mascot!! Imagine a glo's mascot was a chicken or a turkey (remember Benjamin Franklin did want to make the turkey our national bird), wouldn't it be kind of wierd. "Yum, our mascot is delicious"

ok, that was my random thought of the day.

I don't know much about other GLO's history but Sigma Kappa may be the only sorority where our first three chapters, the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma chapters, were all at the same school, Colby College, and active at the same time.
Did any other GLO's have this?

We don't eat squirrels, but food at our International Reunion Day and throughout Convention is red, buff, and green! We were saying at the last banquet that we're glad our colors work well with food because if we were Tri Sigma's or AZD's we'd be eating some strange stuff!

So who gets the job of separating the M&Ms by color?

That is EXACTLY the reason why I took pictures of every meal at lunch and dinner (including dessert!). The chapter sisters didn't want to believe me!

Ok I know we're not the *only* sorority to do this...but instead of adopting an existing philanthropy, we have our own. Like I said, I know there's other GLOs that have their own, but I still think it's cool.

And instead of only having one philanthropy, we have SAI Philanthropies, Inc which has numerous philanthropic projects. (All music related of course)

Actually Lambda Chi has the German Shepard.......

I don't know if anyone mentioned this by any AGDs but they have two different coat-of-arms, one for the US and one for Canada. The one for Canada was altered to conform with the then British rules of heraldry.....

Yes, dahlink, I discussed this in July 2001, and they are called Armorial Bearings. Question about AGD's armorial bearings?
