If I ever have kids....
If I ever had a daughter, I would definately name her Violet. (not sure about a middle name yet, but I still have at least 10 years to figure that out )
I like the name Violet because:
*All females on my mom's side of the family have an "ette" in their name in either their first or middle name, for some reason, and I figure it would continue the trend
*Violet is by far my favorite color.. I've loved that color since I was teeny-tiny
Even before I joined ADPi, I loved the name Violet, and now that I'm an ADPi (and the violet is our flower) that is kind of neat how that worked out :P

Its so very easy to pick out a name when you don't HAVE to!
I do caution everyone though that in addition to picking out a NON-trendy name, also don't go all crazy on the spelling. Whats just as bad as naming a child that could have terrible nickname possibilities, but naming a child something they will have to spell their whole life isn't fun either. "huh?" or "your name is what?"
Then you have the problem of wanting your child to be "unique" and not name her Emily only to have her grow up with 10 other girls named Emily.
I love the name Violet texas*princess, thats a very nice way of bringing your life full circle If I ever have a girl (I will welcome legacy vibes) I would like to use Rose for the middle name even though Mr. MereMere21 thinks thats corny. oh well!

Brigid is actually a different name than Bridget (and the variations on it). It's a traditional Irish name and is also my confirmation name.

My parents named me Anne and there was not another one in my class or in my entire school that I ever was aware of. However if I had been named Rainbow that would have caused issues. There were more "unique" names that made my "plain" name highly unique.
Most unfortunate name was Summer Eve!

My family has either family or Irish names. The new babies are Kristen, Anne, Brenna, Lauren, Ryan, Kayla, Johnny, Liam, Conner, Shane, Michael, and Dylan. The worst is the misspelling of Maeghan, but I still like the name.
I haven't heard of too many people in my real life who give their children awful names. My neighbor (and friend since we were four) has Samantha, Nicholas, and Amanda. Her sister has Kayla which has become popular lately.
I have noticed that there aren't too many newborn girls named Jennifer, Michelle, or Stephanie lately. There are tons of them who are my age.
If I become a mother, my children will probably have traditional Irish names. Of course, it depends on my future husband's last name. Brigid Horowitz and Patrick Gallo won't work. Well, maybe.

we just named our first daughter Isabella Rose -
Isabella after my grandmothers Belle and Elizabeth (isabella is the spanish version of Elizabeth)
Rose - is because she was born smack dab in the middle of our International Convention's Rose Banquet that I was supposed to be International Song Leader at - but she came late so I didn't make it to convention (the first one i have missed since my initiation!! - but we did get a gorgeous little legacy!) and because the rose is our flower!
if we have a boy - he will be Royce something - since all the men in my husbands familys are R's - Roger, Roger Jr. Ryan, Ron, Robert, Randy, Rodney, Rider. and Royce was his great great grandfather's name!
