You know your an Alpha Gam when you are at the Alabama concert and all night long you are just hopeing and praying for the song MY HOME'S IN ALABAMA so that you can sing MY HOME'S IN ALPHA GAMMA!

Concert going tip... if you are ever unhappy with where you are sitting, having beer spilled on you, cramped to the point that you can't stand up... go to the management with plans to pay to move to a better section and they might just give you seats in a reallly great part of the statium. Thats what happened to me, third row from the top of the building down to the third row off the floor! IT WAS AWESOME!

I just found this out the other day.

But my mother said she knew I had found my home at Alpha Gam because when I was a toddler, my favorite toy was a stuffed squirrel.

Add that to my pet squirrel later in life, and inheriting my grandmother's pearls right before rush. And I can truely say that I was destined to be an Alpha Gam....

When you are watching a tv show and hey start talking about money and the dollar sign graphics they have are red, yellow, and green and you get WAY too excited. Also when you are watching TV and you get super excited about seeing red and buff roses and when you see one w/out the other, you are dissapointed!

when you're at work and your face lights up because all of the chistmas decorations in the store are either green trees or garlen with red and buff ornaments. It brightens my day up when I'm at work.

So last weekend I was at my friends house and we were watching If Walls Could Talk on HGTV (awesome show) and after they had a show on called "secret garden" or something like that and the ENTIRE show was about squirrels and how they are w/birdseed and stuff like that. They just showed them playing and stuffing their face w/freshly planted bulbs and stuff. It was SOOOOO cute!! I also learned that Chipmunks are actually squirrels, just a different type! Cool huh?

-when you keep your mom awake at 3 am on a work-night just because there is a special show on squirrels on the gardening network... and you rejoice when the host says "and who decided squirrel watching wasn't as good as bird watching... these delightful creatures are much more curious and entertaining"

(the gardening network is now my favorite station on TV)

i know this is old, but i had to share a funny story.

the girl i was rushing who is now my sis-daughter, told me that two squirrels jumped in front of her when she was walking towards me after i called her name. she was so excited when she came in and told me that that was how she knew she was going to be an alpha gam! i was so excited, i knew she would be her sister-mother, she's amazing!

My china pattern has always been Old Country Roses by Royal Albert. I started collecting place ssttings when I was 10. I guess it is just one more sign that I was meant to be an Alpha Gam.

Hey y'all!

New GC poster and a pretty new sister as well....when I went through rush, I was a little bit conflicted on the second day (of 5). I was walking back to my dorm after the last party when I heard a funny noise. looked around and lo and behold, about two feet above me, was a squirell sitting on a tiny L shaped branch just like his own little chair. He was staring right at me and yelling this odd chattering sound.....it was a little bit creepy at first, but then it just made me smile. Also, it didn't hurt that I am a legacy, lol!

You know that you are meant to be an Alpha Gam when you get overexcited that your dorm room is Buff, the carpet is green, and your roomie had red sheets...before you've been extended a bid!

This was something my roommate did the day after I told her, what was then, "Their colors." The funniest part was that two days before that, I was begging her to come to COB events with me because I knew that she would love it. After she noticed our room colors I started imitating her 'no, I don't wanna go's

Now we both know that we couldn't have found a better place!

1. When you are in DC and at the Chinatown metro stop and realize the line marks are in red, yellow, and green

2. When you are reading the new Cosmo and they have red, yellow, and green hairbands and you are excited.

3. When you get an album from the band The Hentchmen and they have a song where they say "shake it like a squirrel" and tell everyone why that is the coolest song in the world even though they look at you like you are insane!
