most recent Spriing purchases:

shoes - Enzo Angiolini - they had the CUTEST sandals ever, they aren't for everyday wear but they just make my legs look so pretty I had to buy! I also kiiinda want a pair of those cute owling shoes that everyone is wearing now but I have the feeling that the moment I buy them they will nolonger be fashionable, lol. Maybe I should head to Payless and pick up a 19.99 pair that I canthrow away with no guillt. hmm...

scent- going with the classics I hooked up the Chanel 4 piece set. I wish that their new perfumes were anywhere as nice as No 5 because I think that their new scent - Chance- smells like White Diamonds or something. Yuk! So no matter where I go I will be smelling fabulous!

handbags- I haven't made up my mind yet. I see that many of you are all about Louis Vuitton but I just can't get into their line- I live in NYC where everyone and their Mama has a knockoff bag- and a lot of them are pretty good knock-offs at that so you never know whose is real. I would HATe to drop that much money on a bag only to have people think I bought it in Chinatown for 40 bucks. I would never buy a Coach bag for the same reason even if I HAD the money, which I don't lol.

I have been YEEEEEEAAAAAAAARNING for a Dooney & Burke bag for AGES but have yet to be able to justify the extravagant purchase to myself. I have a really big interview on Monday. If I get this job (which is kinda my dream job) I will RUN to the store and buy the D&B bag!

I have also been in skirts more of late. The two things I am looking for are nice light skirts and low riser jeans for people with booties. I found a pair of Fever jeans for 75% off (they were originally 200.00)at Macy's and they are my FAVORITE THINGS EVER (they make your booty look so great and since I have that pear shape the low rise lets me show off my six pack - told y'all I'd get one eventually, lol), but ever since that one time I have yet to find anything good by Fever at Macy's- they had these fugly brown things this season that dissapointed me greatly. So it's been all about skirts. Macy's is the spot as far as I'm concerned, macy's and Marshalls for the best deals in anything.

Angry Will have to cut back

Because I just had a $400+ repair to my car. I was planning to buy some Jo Malone cologne, but I may have to get off the waiting list.

I have quite a few Coach bags in my possession, so I have a pretty trained eye to tell the real from the fake (especially the Signature collection). Trust me, some of the fake Coach bags look downright horrible.

As for the LV bags, my eyes can't tell the difference most of the time. When I purchase my LV bag, I'm making a bee-line straight to 5th Avenue.

If NYC has a TJ Max, go there. The stores in my area sell Coach and Dooney & Burke handbags, and not ugly trendy pieces either. You can pick them up for at least HALF price!

I have a few LV bags and I can totally tell the difference when I see fakes. And as long as I know mine are real I don't care if other people thinks its fake.

I feel you too. My doggie just got into a $400 dog fight w/her "best friend" (she didn't even put up a fight and took all the damage). I have downgraded to clearance at newport news for a few items, LOL. But I, like the South, will rise again!

I hear that. I've got a Lane Bryant coupon which has to be used by May 22. I can find a robe, etc., there for Leadership. Plus there's always resale stores and such.

I remember someone posted a link to a page that pointed out the things to look for in Kate Spade fakes...does anyone know if there's a page for other designers? I know a few things here and there about LV and KS but I always like to play the "is it fake?" game out at the bars, and i'd love to do a little more research!

There a quite a few websites that sell counterfeit designer bags - I did a search on counterfeit LV bags and whoa mama, there are a plethora of falsies out there!!!! Same goes for Kate Spade. I live in NYC so you can imagine the number of LV and KS bags I see on a daily basis. I need to further train my eyes.

oy, I hear you. I honestly don't know if I'd get an LV or Kate Spade purse now if I had the chance just because there are so MANY fakes out there. It makes it feel like everyone has a fake because you don't trust anyone but the old stuffy looking ladies!

I don't like buying fake prints just to look like I have the real thing. But if people think my payless shoes are real Mark Jacobs (and they do) I don't always feel the need to correct them. Let them go about with their assumptions.

As long as I know that my stuff is real, I couldn't give a rat's azz if someone thought it was fake. Besides, when I see people on the street, I'm not scoping them out to see if their purses are fake--I have other things going on. If someone's doing that for me, they have the problem.

Here are the shoes, I love these ankle straps, I think they're so sexy.

I love shoes too! I can tell you that the majority of my summer wish list is all SHOES, SHOES, SHOES! Those Payless sandals are sooo cute. I saw a pair on their websit that were like a strappy, stiletto thong....sooo cute.

SOOO : I want about a hundred pairs of shoes, but I'm going to try to keep it down to 10...thank god Payless has got some stuff that I like, that way I can work on purchasing the rest of my wishlist:

Internship clothes
those really cool armbands
a new bikini (or two)
skirts!

the evil imposters

Ok, so maybe this is going to make me a pariah on the boards, but I am going to say it anyway. What is wrong with buying a knockoff?? I mean I can certainly see a problem if you're trying to pass it off as real ( cuz then you've just got issues), but if you like the look of a designer and don't have $350 to spend on a purse (I know I don't) why is it a crime to buy a bag that looks just like it for $40 (much more in my price range)? Maybe I am breaking some sort of fashion law, and you all are staring at this post in shocked disbeleif, but I just don't get it! I am broke ass and work 2 jobs. I think I dress pretty nice, and I love to shop, and I occasionally splurge on really nice things, but if I can find a bargain I am going to snatch it up. Maybe that's the difference. I shop for a look, not a name, so I don't think it's wrong to buy some thing that is "inspired by" Gucci, Prada, or Kate Spade, if it looks awesome with that dress go for it! Now, I don't own anything that is supposed to be a knock off of some designer, but that doesn't mean I never will. If it looks good, who the hell cares if it's $200 cheaper!! That should be one of the main reasons to get it!!

I feel the same way. If a designer comes out with the look of something that I like and I can't afford it, I see no problem in picking up the same style at payless or marshalls or whatever. Sometimes I'll splurge on really quality pieces but if it's trendy and I'm not planning on wearing it for a long time anyway, I'd rather be sensible.
