Cheerleader in HS here Captain senior year. I loved it! Did anyone see the show on I think TLC about the woman who just graduated from Harvard that worked to be an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader for a day? It was interesting.

Cheerleader 2 1/2 years of high school (just did basketball season my sophomore year and not football), 2 varisty letters, and captain my senior year. I miss it so much, but unfortunately I do not have tumbling skills so could never try out for OSU's squad. Would love to go back and coach my high school squad sometime...damn those girls need some guidance!

I played Powder Puff football for three years...does that count?
(Nothing to do with hazing! This was actual, school-sanctioned Powder Puff, where freshmen/seniors played sophomores/juniors. We had practices after school and teachers coaching us. We played our game during homecoming week.)

I cheered 3 years in HS and then was on dance team my senior year. I also played softball. I wanted to try out for basketball but cheering is really time consuming and I also did ballet so I had zero time for anything else in the fall. In college I was on the WVU dance team last year.

Did gymnastics for 4 years.
I was a cheerleader in 8th and 9th grade for my junior high.
Captain of the JV squad in 10th grade. Was the replacement member for the varsity squad if anything happened to one of them before antionals. Got a camp all star bid.
Was on the Varsity squad 11th and 12th. Was Captain 12th grade and won All American at camp and the squad won a whole bunch of awards at camp. One of them was for the (I forget what it's called) most spirited squad at camp which everyone wants or else they wouldn't go around camp doing cheers and all that jazz. We had guys and they would always "flirt" with the girls and they all loved it. They would hand out the trays for everyone and one girl from another squad hurt her ankle, so one of our guys carried her. It was my fave time.
Was the Captain of the first all girl stunt group for my school and made it to nationals.
Went to Nationals 11th and 12th and won 2nd place in Co-Ed Performance Cheer.
Helped Coach my HS squad for a year after graduating.
Was on my college squad for only the summer, cause they really sucked ass and as much as I wanted to cheer, I couldn't waste that much time on thier suckyness. (They were stuck up and even though I had the most experience and was IMHO the best one on the squad, they wouldn't let me do anything.) I tried to help coach, but the coach at the time was stuck up also and never emailed me back.
I've been looking for a college all-star squad but the closest one is an nour and 15 mins away. NO way I'm doing that commute. Might help coach a high school or something around here.

i was on the baseball team and basketball team in 9th grade...i got kicked off both of them for smoking weed.
i transfered schools in 11th grade, and there was a surf team. the school never recognized us, and funded us though, so we were considered a "club" even though surfing was a recognized CIF sports.
so I was on the surf team/club 11th and 12th grade, but never got any letters or anything.

Yes! Two indoor and one outdoor season of track. I don't know how I never answered this thread but I was in cheerleading for two years, track for four, and cross-country for two in high school. Now my exercise consists of Run Against Bush and shaking my butt at bars.

Cheered from 5th grade to 12th grade. Didnt play in college cause I hurt my knee and had surgery. I had a scholarship for it, but had to turn it down because of the knee surgery. I played powderpuff football for 3 years in HS. I also coached cheering and I helped with cheering tryouts whenever I am back home and they call me about it. I also took gymnastics from when I was 3 till 18.
I wish I had cheered in college. I miss it now. It kept me in shape.....
