A very good friend of mine just found out he has Herpes. But it gets worst they had and accindent with the condom and it broke. He took his girlfriend to plan parent hood to get her the morning after pill but he did not go back there with her and from what I know about the morning after pill I don't think she really got the pill because she ended up being pregnant (and other reasons). Then a couple months later she had the child aborted with out telling him first. He was so upset because she did not tell him about the child and she lied to him. But the story gets worst she is only 17 and he is 19. Now her parents want him to pay for the abortion! The parents don't want to press charges for statutory rape but they want the money for the abortion. After all that she went over his house and told my friend she had herpes from the guy she was screwing before and during their relationship! How F@*% up is that!!!!

The morning after pill has only about a 75% success rate in preventing pregnancy, depending on how long after the "accident" she started it.

But anyway, it's not supposed to be nearly as effective as being on the regular pill (about 97% effective)

So it's not totally shocking that someone could wind up pregnant after having taken the MAP.

That's what I said also. For all he knows this could be all a lie and she just wants money from him. But what is not a lie is he now has Herpes.

I know a lot about the morning after pill and I know there are some certain steps that must be taking before they give you the pill. From what it sounds like she may not have even taken the pill.

This is the MOST ignorant thing I've ever read.

I look at it this way, if you get a disease that will kill you and it normally doesn't kill you until you're 30-40 yrs old if you contract it in you're 20's, when you do want to die? When you're in your 50's, 60's 70's? From cancer? From falling down when you're too old? Catching pnemuenia and dying from a cold? Thats how most people die when their old, some shitty way. Why go through life without having as much sex as you'd please, only to die for some stupid reason? Some may think what I'm saying is stupid and a reckless attitude, but you could die tommorrow in a car accident or by getting shot. Does that mean you should stay in your house and never come out for fear of losing your life? We all die, some a lot quicker than others. Rather than focusing on how to avoid dying, why don't you make the most of the time you got?

I'm not saying go out and have sex with prostitues. However, being scared of every person you have sex with is torturing yourself.

Besides, the only people who ask how dirty you are will be the ones you probably need to watch out for. Clean people don't bring that up because they know their clean. The dirty ones don't want to add another STD from the long list that hangs in the student health center.
You ignorant slut!

People today live to be in their 80's or older, and the sucky thing is that MOST SDT's WON'T kill you. I am not afraid of dieing from an STD. I am afraid of having to LIVE with one for the rest of my life. If you get herpes at 25 and live til 80-that's a long time to deal with open sores on your dick.If you get AIDS(which would really suck) people at least feel sorry for you. If you get herpes or something else, people just think you're nasty-even if it's not your fault. Just wear the condom and get used to it. I ended a realationship with someone who wouldn't wear one. Glad I did.

Same idea with wearing a seat belt. I am not afraid of dieing in car accident-I am afraid of waking up in an emergency room and not feeling anything from the eyebrows down and my mom having to feed me and wipe my ass for 30 years after because I am a very AWARE and alive invalid. Death doesn't scare me too bad, living a crappy existance does.

It's called RISK MANAGEMENT-not risk elimination. Sure we're all gonna die some day-but I'd like to choose the few ways NOT to do it if I can.

must get off high horse, getting nose bleed.....

cash78mere if he was really your first you didn't need to get tested (obviously STDs can be transmitted without penetrative intercourse); though you nevertheless took the tests, as a gesture.
I think that if he does have an STD with many he wouldn't even know about it. You'd know about it though, if you caught it and later couldn't concieve because chlamydia or PID had made you infertile. Or "worse" STDs than those.

Remind Mr cash78mere that his special penis isn't immune to every STD on the planet contrary to what he seems to think; and in today's climate being ready to have sex requires being ready to deal with the responsibilities which come with it like testing.
Sexual activeness isn't just about ecstasy (no drug reference intended) and he needs to (re-)learn that.

When I was dating my first boyfriend I asked him to get tested because although he was my first, we had discussed his previous relationships and I was a little worried. Even though I was on the pill, there were a handful of times that..well...the condom never actually got the chance to make an appearance. He got really upset and pissed off that I would even suggest he had something and just like mr. cashmere procrastinated around it left and right until finally we broke up and I went and got myself tested just to be sure. I kicked myself after the fact that I should have been more forceful, take the sex away if you have to until he gets the hint and gets off his ass and gets tested.

this is basically exactly my situation! i gave him the ultimatum last night...and he didn't like that one bit. he did make his appointment today though. it just concerns me that it took this damn long since i've mentioned it for the past 2 months.

and yes, decadence, he really was my first! it was definitely a curtesy gesture on my part...although you just really never do know...
