You ain't never lied.

I want to know.
I get what you all are saying though. I think a lot of pastors are focusing more on business than ministry which is why we have churches where unless you are big bank offering giver, you can't get married by the pastor let alone have the pastor give your eulogy or come see you when you're sick even if your great grandfather built the church that passa preaches in these days.

I emphasize Bishop because even though both of them act under the capacity of Apostles, they are yet still under the title of Bishop. I've come to find that those who take on this Apostle title are usually pastors of storefront churches whose membership peaks at about 50 on a good Sunday. Despise not small beginnings, true enough, but also be a steward over the few things first and not jump out of your lane into someone else's.

Unfortunately churches have become a money making business vs. a soul saving ministry. I question if some of these revs/bishops/apostles were really CALLED by God because there's a difference in God calling you and you calling yourself!
Why are there thousands of mega churches with a memberships between 5-30,000 members, but the world is getting worse and the members [meaning the Christians] are becoming more confused?
Why are there four to five Christian channels on television, but the world is getting worse?
Something clearly isn't right.

Maybe God just called them to GO to church, not PASTOR the church.
Maybe God's call to serve was more along the lines of the USHER BOARD not the pulpit.
And some of them just want a wider population to choose from to get their freaky sneaky on.

Say THAT!
What about the "in the world not of it" part? This is a MESS. Folks have forgotten that this whole "church business" isn't supposed to be about them, but the people they serve.
Sad I tell ya, just sad.

I didn't realize you added to your post until just now.
Because some of these mega churches are doing it for the clout, not the Christ.
If you are really about Jesus, you'll be tested like everyone is, but God would always get the glory for helping you overcome and your ministry would be evidentiary support of that. It seems to me.

How do you all feel about the phrase "EVERYTHING is a blessing"?
If you rob a bank and from that robbery, you receive thousands of dollars, is that a blessing?

I happen to live by the principal that if you get things in the wrong way, what was once meant to bless you will end up cursing you.
As far as everything being a blessing, and based upon the example given, God orchestrates everything true enough but He has also given us free will. I don't think God just spoke into somebody's spirit to go and rob a bank. We are commanded to obey the laws of the land and uhh I don't think they making robbery legal these days lol.
