As yet another addicted GCer, thank you for keeping us updated. I swear, after reading all these threads I think I'm more nervous and anxious about everyone elses rush experiences than I was mine!

Chloe173....glad rush is starting off great for you. It's soo interesting to hear all the stories.
I am always interested in rush at other schools. I will post a thread about recruitment at my school (University of Oregon) once I get back and rush starts...not until the first week in October. I know what you mean about having all the fraternity guys outside doing bbqs and yelling comments...definitely gets old, not to mention intimidating. One guy driving by almost hit another car because he was checking us all out! You have a great group of houses to choose from. Does anyone know why Chi O left USC? Anyways, good luck and keep us updated. Can't wait to hear more.

wow-streaking guys-he he he. We had nothing like that at my school. The guys that lived in the apts across from sorority row would occasionally pull out the lawn chairs and watch but that is about as exciting as it got. Have fun tomorrow.

We had guys from Sigma Nu streak our all-sorority get together before rush last year. What is it about boys and being naked in front of girls as a sign of masculinity?

UCLAgirl is right... the swimmers do that all the time. It's part of the "welcome" to the new freshmen swimmers. I figure it's all good... they're buff, they're tan, they're not ugly. And streaking certainly *did* liven up the Rho Chi meetings.

When I went through formal last year I got mooned by the Delts, and my recruitment group was yelled at by the Sammies, Pikes, Accacias, Fijis and Sig Eps! One of the Fijis actually gave away a Rho Chi's affiliation! Anyway, reember everything thats gones on this week becuase you will look back and laugh!
Good luck this week with recruitment. I can't wait to find out what sisterhood you become a part of!

Chloe, I'm sorry Pi Phi cut you. The cold, hard truth is that some houses on every campus have more legacies coming through than they will be allowed to take for the entire pledge class. The girls there may have loved you and felt a strong connection with you, too, but every group gives special consideration to its legacies. That doesn't mean they are promised a bid without even trying, but it does mean they'll get invited back to more rounds. This is one of the things that makes voting go on into the wee hours of the morning.
Look at the positives: You will be going back to the maximum number of houses today. They are all fine groups with strong national bonds. They asked you back because they like you. Now all (!) you have to do is decide which ones you like the most.
