I think the most recent song that jacked me up was Musiq's song "Mary" (I think that's what it's called). Anyway, it took me FOREVER to figure out what he was spelling! I went around just tossing out random letters like "M-A-B-T-H-O-W-E-A-E-B-E-Y-O-U-T-E..."

I finally placed it like 8 times in a row and realized he was spelling out "M-a-r-y, H-o-w c-o-u-l-d y-o-u b-e s-o c-r-u-e-l t-o m-e m-y l-o-v-e."

I was too through!

Oh my goodness!!!!!! I am actually sitting here listening to that song right now!!!!!

You are right with the first line, but the second one is actually:

How can I/ Make love to a fella? (homophobic intent)
In a rush, pass me the keys to my truck.

They are very homophobic in Jamaica and very open about it.

There is a part in "Southern Hospitality" where it sounds like Ludacris is saying 'sorors keep stepping' which has always made me wonder if he was Greek. I've heard a few people sing it like this too but I don't think that is what he's saying. I think it is how they edited the song. I looked on the ohhla database and now I can't remember the part of the song it is in. I'll have to get on the fake Napster and come back later.

There was a discussion about this exact line a loooong time ago. I believe the conclusion was made that he said "So whores keep stepping..."

It was on the song fatty girl, and yes he says sorors keep stepping, His mother is an aka, she always attend the annual greek step show that is here in atl.
