None of us geologists at my work felt anything, nor did we get worked up about it. working at a nuclear plant is exciiting enough.

I've heard of it before and i find it so interesting. It's like when my dog starts shaking and hides in a closet 20 minutes before a big storm.

Never seen that video - thanks for sharing.

I always thought it had something to do with animals being able to hear earthquakes before we can feel them. There are three different kinds of energy waves associated with earthquakes, and the first/fastest one (p wave) travels similarly to sonic waves, so I just assumed that there was some kind of noise associated that's outside our hearing range. I think the second and third type are what cause most of the actual shaking.
