I don't find escargot, sushi or calamari exotic or weird at all.

The most exotic thing i've had is tripe, which I didn't care for at all. It has a texture like fat and doesn't really have a taste at all.

Reindeer is domesticated caribou, and I prefer the less gamey taste of the herded variety. I still wouldn't turn down fresh caribou though, nom nom. I'll make sure to think of you two when I'm eating it, want me to take a picture? It will likely be in jerky or sausage form.

I had a conversation with someone today and I never considered cheese, milk or butter from animals that aren't cows exotic, but I guess goat, sheep, buffalo and yak byproducts are for some people.

The sad part is, there are SO many deer in our neighborhood (displaced by McMansions) that I went to a council meeting, and asked to have them either relocated to the forests or "prepared" for those people who have to eat game.
