Question

deltadevil,

Help me understand why you desire membership into a FRATERNITY? I'm confused?

Maybe if you could expound upon that logic GC folks can assist you with more productive comments?

The OP goes to a school that's located in the Mississippi Delta. Doesn't look like the "Delta" is a reference to DST.

Thanks I get that much in the name (handle) and based on the fact that he suggested that "he" is a "he" (making that assumption--can never tell these days)...

What I am unclear on is why he wants to join a fraternity? Then ask us, Greek Lettered members, to explain like a presentation or something the differences to him to make a better "choice" as if we think our organizations are lax, especially on messageboard...

Basically, why join if you aren't compelled to figure out those differences on your own, based off the websites and what is known on your campus through the membership?

IMHO, it just breeds laziness in the chapter and if someone cannot step it up and show me why they would want to be a part of my organization in particular, I know I don't want them in my chapter acting lazy, not paying dues and questioning the vote of the membership... Same as a job...

My name isn't God. And like PinkPen said, we figured you were male.

Thank you for answering my question. I admire your willingness to share.

I am a little curious as to how come you would want to put something like your "Fraternity" affiliation on your resume? What would you be doing to merit showing it and how does that reflect your job prospects?

I am a little curious as to how come you desire being beside people with "positive attributes" (attitudes would be more accurate).

Help me understand what makes you conclude that if you were extended an invitation to join, and you became a member through the intake process, that it would help you "encourage people around [your] are[a] to attend college"?

Also, what does "stepping" have to do with the desire to join a Fraternity of the NPHC?
