Funny the things that happen... Today I was in a staff development meeting and one of my fellow librarians was wearing a silver crescent moon pin on her jacket. Of course, I commented on it, and she said "Oh, I'll give it to you!"" And she did!!! It is sooo cute - the moon has a smile on his face. It sounded so wonderful to say "That's MY sorority emblem!!"
I have always loved moons and stars, and I guess the crescent moon got me right from the start of my search.

Since - for obvious reasons, unless you're a Gamma Phi - we cannot attend tinydancer's initiation, how's about we DFW GCers (and any others who might be in town for her initiation) do a GC get-together?

I'm so sorry I got to your thread late-I've been on an unnatural schedule of nights at the hospital, but when I saw this I yelled out loud!! I am so excited for you!! I literally have butterflies in my stomach after reading this!!! YAY YAY YAY!!

I am planning to fly in for Lizz's initiation which I understand will be in the evening (7pm) and could go long; I will likely have to spend the night.
What did y'all have in mind? Maybe meet for an early dinner?

Col. GPhiB, (Old military habits die hard - this from a former enlisted airman )
Early dinner or even a late lunch sounds good; don't wanna tie it up any more than we hafta on Lizz's special day. Knowing how initiations go, they almost always run long (mine took close to five hours and it was well past midnight before the celebrations could begin in earnest!) PM or e-mail me when the dates are firmed up.

It sounds great! Maybe late lunch would be good. It sort of depends when Cele is getting in. All I know for sure right now is that it will be March 18 and that is a Thursday. I will be on spring break that week so I get back from Vegas on Wed. and get initiated on Thurs!!

WOO HOO!! I just found out that I will be formally pinned on Sunday at the Gamma Phi party.
I was beginning to think that AIs didn't really get pinned -

Hey, any idea about what time initiation will be on 18 March -- I had heard it was 7pm which means I will have to spend the night and leave the next day. Another sister on the Badge Task Force (Helen -- Membership Vp!) said I could bunk at her place -- she is apparently close to the airport which is good since I will want to leave early the next day...have yet to see hubby's flying schedule -- my luck he will be flying and I will have to forma my boys out to friends for the night....ack! But I will be there come heck or high water Lizz!!!
