I could have sworn Nurse John kissed me when he kissed Precious. Was I the only one who felt that?

LOL!
And shout out to your chapter for making Precious a program -- that's definitely inspired programming there!

Not having read the book the title makes sense to me. Is the original title in reference to a comment Blu made to precious? Since I had the premise all wrong before I saw the movie, I thought it referred to childbirth.

It's both, in my opinion. An EMT does indeed tell Precious to PUSH! in the book.

Dr. Guy's Monday Night Gumbo does a show about Precious
Sorors and friends,
Please enjoy this broadcast of Dr. Guy's Monday Night Gumbo. Soror Guy is a counseling professor at the University of North Texas. It was a pleasure serving as a panelist on her show last night!

Saw it.
Loved it.
Protesting if it doesn't get Oscars.

There needs to be an Oscar category for Best Looking Supporting Actor.

Sorry to crash on your forum, but I don't see a thread in the Entertainment forum. Andy and I just went to see this today on a recommendation from a friend. It was hard to find-there was only one theatre showing it in the area. It was really a good film.
