On the sort of original topic of the thread, lately, I've been in a "whatever" kind of mood about this stuff.
Most PNMs who stick through the whole process get placed. Sure, you want to get recs and enhance your chances, but even if you didn't, statistically speaking if you stick it out and keep an open mind, it's really likely to work out.
People have a great experience in all of the chapters at Georgia. Don't let the process drive you or your loved ones crazy.

@FloridaTish
Yes! They were all the range here in the mid to late 1980s. If I weren't a ZTA, I would wonder if I could have been LaneSig's date because I did, in fact, have a dress just like that. (I did not have a romper as they never quite fit me right.) Now, back to UGA.

Yes! Even at SEC schools, the vast majority of PNMs get placed.

So I heard from my rec girl's mom this morning and her daughter has a full schedule for Round 3. In no particular order: Pi Beta Phi, ZTA, AOII, Gamma Phi Beta, Delta Delta Delta, Alpha Phi, Alpha Gamma Delta and Sigma Kappa. She is very happy with her schedule!

Maybe it's just a strange concept to me as at my school chapter members can't leave the house at all during rounds so seeing them walk out with the girls, talking in the yard, etc is very foreign to me. Also, seems hot!! One of the best parts of being on the recruiting side was being in the A/C all day...

Yes and no. Where they are waiting to go in-it's all PNMs and RCs. Coming out, some show members on the porch. Others are escorted to the street sidewalk by members who stand there and sing or wave goodbye. But rushing per se is not what you see....southern belle politeness at its best!

It's Gamma Phi Beta! Even the caption on the Red and Black photo says it's Gamma Phi Beta. (I was there that day too and saw some other comfy look but heinous shoe choices)

Really, you’re wrong. that’s Sigma Kappa. I wish I could say it wasn’t, with the active in the midriff top right there front and center,
But it is.

I don't, but I COULD wear a romper. This is where short and "curvy" pays off. You tall thin gals can suck it.
Helping at a house tours practice I did see a couple camel toes that really were unacceptable.

This says Gamma Phi Beta and that is correct!
I have no idea how to share the link to the photo with the caption but it is photo #32 here: https://www.redandblack.com/multimed...db2697.html#32

Ok. The one with the line of girls walking in with the blue and yellow outfits may well be Gamma Phi Beta. But the one shot looking up the stairs is for sure Sigma Kappa.
But let's be honest - now we are just killing time til Bid Day.

Oh dear...in all of our excitement for these awesome recruitments, we're getting ourselves confused over which chapter is which on the pictures. It's my fault! I'm the one that posted the two pictures; but, I didn't add any captions to the photos. Sorry about that - I didn't see a need for captions at the time and now there's confusion.

|
Sciencewoman commented on PNM outfits and specifically highlighted one PNM with a chambray dress and sneakers looking behind her. tcsparky couldn't view the link given and asked for sample photos. I posted two sample photos from the Red and Black gallery for tcsparky to see:

The second photo I linked was the one sciencewoman had originally mentioned. She then said:

Then the confusion started because apparently the top photo in my post was Sigma Kappa's house and the Sigma Kappas thought Sciencewoman was talking about that one.

We were talking about the girl in the blue chambray dress. That's the picture with the girls in the yellow and blue dresses which is Gamma Phi Beta. It sounds like some mistakenly thought that Sciencewoman and GPhiBLtColonal were talking the first photo in my post. Yes, the house in the other photo is Sigma Kappa.
So y'all are both right. Everyone's a winner!
