We went to the OSU band "Skull Session" where the Marching 110 played as well.

What a great weekend that was!!

Figure out a way to scan that pic and e-mail it to me. I'd love to have it with my other O.U. stuff in our family room!

ETA, Here's an explaination of the bowl picture from my pal the newspaper guy...

I guess if we WIN the MAC we'd go to the Motor City Bowl. Lose the
championship, and we'd probably go to GMAC in Mobile.

-------------------------------------------------

* The Motor City Bowl features the MAC #1 selection vs. the Big Ten #7
selection. The Big Ten must have at least seven bowl-eligible teams to send
a team to the Motor City Bowl; or at least eight bowl-eligible teams if the
Big Ten places two teams in the BCS.

* The GMAC Bowl will be shown nationally on ESPN and will feature teams from
Conference USA versus the Mid American Conference or the Western Athletic
Conference.
Why would Central want to play close to home if they should win the MAC title? "as your punishment for winning the MAC title, you will have to play a home game at Ford Field" This has been covered here in Mich already. Should the chips win, they should be able to go to the GMAC bowl for it is something different. A bowl game in your home state isn't a reward imho.

In the end, it doesn't make any difference where a team "wants" to play -- it's up to the deal that the league has with the bowl organization.

It's business -- and sports is business.

I'm not sure I understand this post. Three out of four national championships?

We'll wait and see how Ohio does (first I want us to beat Miami this weekend). The Bobcats have surprised a few teams this season...

Notre Dame will beat USC Trojans... 4 point spread.

There, I said it!

Don't want USC to lose, but they probably will and let those dayum FI's go to a good BCS game--like the Rose, Sugar or Orange...

I knew that but it isn't much of a reward for Central Michigan or Ohio to play at Ford Field again in the Motor City Bowl since they would have played there once already. I'm basing this off of the fact that win or lose, the chips would probably play there in that game as the "local" team. The MAC confrerence has switched things up before and the Motor City Bowl has wanted a Michigan MAC team but hasn't had the chance yet.

Wisconsin will make its second straight trip to the Capital One Bowl, Penn State was selected for the Outback Bowl, Purdue will make the Big Ten's first appearance in the Champs Sports Bowl, Iowa will travel to the Alamo Bowl and Minnesota was chosen as the first conference squad to play in the Insight Bowl. Based on the current Bowl Championship Series (BCS) rankings, the Big Ten is confident that Ohio State and Michigan will participate in BCS games to be determined on Dec. 3.

What a great day of College Football.

Texas A&M 12, Texas 7
Texas has lost control of their own destiny in the Big 12 South, and Oklahoma will clinch the division with a win tomorrow against in-state rival OSU.

Colorado 14, Nebraska 37
In a game full of many trick plays, the Nebraska Seniors dominated the sCUm Buffaloes in their last game at Memorial Stadium. Nebraska has already clinched the North Division and anxiously awaits finding out their opponent tomorrow for the Big XII Championship Game next week.

Can't wait to see Oklahoma play throat slasher. The Big XII has been a bad thing for OU-NU. It's a matchup I always look forward to. Oklahoma just has to take care of Oklahoma State first -- no small task. That in itself should be a really fun game to watch. It'll be interesting to see Oklahoma State's receviers match up with OU's secondary.

Ohio 34, Miami of Ohio 24.

O.U. is 9-3 on the season so far.

Amazing.

Could it be that Ohio football is back?

I think Frank the Tank has found his nitch at Ohio, and it also helps that the MAC seems to be a little down this year.

I'm glad for Frank - he's found his right fit. And it wasn't at Nebraska.

Down goes Ga Tech. First Auburn now Tech. Go Dawgs. I can understand losing to Tennesse and Florida Now they just need to explain how they lose to Vandy and Kentucky.

Auburn losing to Georgia is one thing. Sure, they're likely better than UGA, but they played terrible and every now and then you're gonna get it blown open on you by a rival. However, GT is simply pathetic. Tech is easily better than UGA this year, but they can't win. They can't ever win. I usually go for Tech, but they simply don't deserve to win. Their fans are pathetic little girls who have a huge inferiority complex to a school (UGA), which has less national championships than they do. Pathetic. I hate you, GT, I hate you.
