I just think Nik stands out! Nicole is just another white girl model, IMO.

If I flipped through a magazine, I wouldn't stop and say, "that's Nicole from ANTM." They all look alike. If I saw Nik, I'd REMEMBER who she was.

Is Tyra one of the few or only non-white model that has graced the cover of Elle Girl?

I am VERY upset about last night's episode. Nik was obviously the best choice and I'm not just saying that b/c she's black. She was FIERCE in all of her pics and on the runway. She scared me during the fashion show w/ her intense look. Nicole was a whiny cry baby that did not deserve to win. It's a conspiracy I tell ya...A CONSPIRACY!!! And whomever is reading from the other board, take that back over there and discuss it! Actions speak louder than words. As one poster stated, "How do you fudge the Cover Girl commercial and still become ANTM?" Puleeze!

And I agree...I'm only watching Project Runway on Wednesdays...Fudge ANTM!!!

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went and read.

I liked Nicole but she did not bring it!!! The best person overall this season was Lisa. She took the best photos, just that her personality and behavior/antics killed her chances of winning the competition.

Soror QTE, I also heard that Cover Girl picks the winner of ANTM as well. Also up until she was voted off, Toccara was the Cover Girl pick of the week every week. Then it went between Eva and Yaya.

I can't say that I will boycott next season, but I just know not to get my hopes up in regards to who I see as the winner versus who Cover Girl wants to market their products.

Exactly. Nicole looks like everybody else to me. She just doesn't stand out. I would remember Nik though.

I agree I would have wanted crazy ass Lisa to win over Nicole. Nicole did not deserve...period!

Maybe you all have something here. If you are talking about marketing, maybe CGs numbers have been low when they've chosen Eva and Naima. Maybe they feel there will be a boost with Nicole.

I guess we have to keep in my CGs targt audience. (I don't think it's US!)

Shucks, when did Cover Girl get their first non-white Cover Girl? It's been LESS than 15 years, hasn't it?

I'm still upset Naima won last cycle.

I don't wear makeup so I don't pay attention to models like that, lol. First one I remember is Queen Latifah, lol.

I expect that Eva RAISED CG's popularity but Naima didn't. Eva is bubblier than Naima. Nicole (from what they showed) was more bubbly than Naima and Nik, more on par with Eva. If that makes sense.

I still don't agree with the decision, but most times I never do.

Regardless, I thought NIK killed Nichole throughout the entire competition. Her pictures were much better, she was much better on the runway, she won most of the Cover Girl of the week, and she won most of the challenges.
If you are going to vote for AMERICA'S next top model, pick someone who people like.
I think this year ANTM did a lot of things for shock value:
i.e. keeping Bre that dern long
cutting Lisa before Kim
keeping Jayla that long

Very disappointed in this season...i don't even feel like the season should be over yet.

Ok thanks! Yeah it seems like the Covergirl of the week gave you an idea of who would be in the final 3 or whatever, maybe they did it for shock value? I dunno.

I do think they're scared they'll get another Naima, heck I know I liked Naima and thought she was just holding in her personality until I saw that that's just how she is. Maybe they were scared that Nik would continue to "hold in" after she won? I thought Nik was way more outgoing than Naima.

I also co-sign that I'd rather have seen Kym win than Nicole, at least she's interesting for goodness sake.

If they wanted to pick a white girl, there were better white girls. Nicole's fake and forgettable. It's just a matter of time before she gets on the Kate Moss "diet plan" to keep her weight in check.

And what's funny is that some people think that we're upset it was a white girl period.

Uh...no, I'm upset that it was THIS particular girl they picked to win. There were other white pariticpants who had FAR more pizzaz and personality than Nicole, that's just the truth.

Is it just me, or did they skip over some pics when doing the evaluation - the phone booth and the secret ad???????

Looking back, I would rather have Crazy-Lisa win, instead of Nicole. Nicole is just a VH1 where are they now waiting to happen
