Are the Solises using Xiao-Mei's room to sleep in? There's no other bedrooms or guest rooms in that entire big ol' house of theirs?

Maybe the lady is Tom's long lost sister and she is keeping Tom's mother. Maybe Tom and his mom are estranged.
Thennnnnnnnn, maybe when Lynette "stole" Tom from his g-friend, the g-friend had a baby and Tom didn't know about the child. Maybe the child is a girl (whence the flowers).
If he has 'nother family, boy....you done done it, Tom!
