I'm just curious.. I've never seen an entire season of AI until now :P
Wild card shows usually took place before the top 12. Before this season, 8 contestants would perform each week and the top two would advance to the top 12. They would do this for like 3 weeks and then the final 4 would be on the Wild Card show. Famous wild cards would be Clay Aiken and Carmen from Season 2 and JPL and Leah from Season 3. Season one had a wild card but it wasn't like that. Basically, it was the 3 judges picks out of any 12 selected from the past shows and then an audience pick.

They did away with it this year though.

Anthony was HORRIBLE in his first song.

Um like Lever and Stoller (those are probably spelled wrong) Classics and then this week's top 40 lists...

I have a plan...

Vonzell + Bo = Bozell = AWESOME!

They should kick Anthony & Scott off together for being bad (Anthony) and acting the fool (Scott). They should kick Carrie off because while she is definitely talented, she is so run-of-the-mill.

Off to dial for 3 & 4!

My take:

*Anthony -- goodness gracious .. wow.. you suck... how are you still on this show? Did anyone catch Anthony try to do the Constantine-oogly-eyes during the second song? Dare I say I like the BACKSTREET BOYS version of "Incomplete" way more than Anthony's?? And I don't even like the backstreet boys

*Scott - You have a fashion coordinator? Are you sure? You dress the same now than you did at the beginning of this season. I still think he should have gone a long time ago.....

*Vonzell - LOVED the first song, LOVED the second song!! Picks great songs

*Bo- LOVED his rendition of the 1st song, liked the second one..he picks great songs for his voice & personality

*Carrie- First song was only "Ok" for me... I am getting tired of her making every song she sings sound country.. but I guess if her fans like it, whatever works...I really really LOVED her version of "Broken Road".. the vocals were wonderful!

I would be most happy to see Anthony or Scott go ... but that probably comes as no surprise since I've wanted them gone for about 5 weeks now...

I thought Bo was good, Carrie and Vonzell were ok, and the other two were forgettable.
Old fogey that I am, I didn't know ANY of the current songs they sang.

Well, I think it's fairly obvious that Anthony was absolutely the worst this week. I was amazed that Simon didn't tear him to shreds, but went after Vonzell. Maybe he just expects more from her? In any event, I think Anthony will be gone.

I've gained a lot more respect for Bo.

By the way, when I call in, how long does it take for the lines to open up? Right now they're busy.

It took us 15 minutes to log a vote for Anthony (3rd grade DS loves Anthony, so being a good mother I promised we'd let him vote once).

8th grade son and I are dual dialing and still can't get through for Bo. Probably going to try to get one for Vonzell if Bo's lines stay busy.

Don't feel bad, I didn't know any of the songs either! Anthony and Scott really didn't impress me. Neither did Carrie. She is a great singer, but she should have gone to Nashville Star instead. She's probably alienating people who would vote for her but arn't by singing all the country. I'm so scared for Vonzell! I hope she doesn't get voted off!

Anthony = horrible

Everyone stepped up their game tonight except for him. He needs to go home.

The original version had a gospel/rock/country feel to it. I don't think she country-cized it much more than it already was. I thought it was pretty good. (But, I hated the growling.)

Yea.. those country-twang-growling-things are def. getting on my nerves too...

.. kind of like Fantasia's random outbursts in the middle of songs

I never could get through last night for either Bo or Vonzell, and I tried both land line and cell. DS got through 6 times for Bo on the land line.

So at the AOIIalum household:

1 vote for Anthony
6 votes for Bo

I think Simon did Vonzell a favor by slamming Vonzell and saying "her fans better come through for her"... Hopefully that motivated a lot of people to call and vote for her. I thought she did great last night.

WHEN is AI going to figure out that this voting thing is just a crapshoot for who gets voted off! If you can't get through to vote, that's one vote that doesn't count. It's not fair! done whining....
