interesting, I just gave up thinking about the spam here.... I also gave up hoping that the edit button would come back so IrishPipes could attend to the most important thread on these boards....

We went to sleep? There is spam everyday. Lately we have been able to delete it before you see it. For instance, it is 5 am edst. I just deleted 18 spam posts from the intro forum. I think it is the beetle juice effect.

Oh, I'm definitely not blaming the mods!
Being in Hawaii and an entirely different time zone, I'm usually awake and checking GC only when almost everyone is asleep. Therefore, I'm usually looking at it in the middle of prime spam time. However, I wasn't really seeing any major spam blasts at night (basically since John randomly showed back up on the site), so I thought the spam issue at large had been resolved, even though there are always posts that pop up here and there. Then suddenly last night it was back to the old ways of too much spam to handle.
Again, definitely not mad at the mods! Perhaps there's just been a night owl deleting them all and they happened to miss last night's spamfest?
ETA: notice how the last time anyone really complained about spam in this thread was nearly 3 months ago. And this thread used to blow up every day.
