today, our own Soror Star Jones-Reynolds is on The View w/her pink AKA t-shirt. it's college day or something like that where her alma mater, American U., is featured. the sorors from Lambda Zeta are featured, as well as members of other sororities.
she stated that one of her greatest accomplishments was pledging AKA

Wisteria Lane is suddenly in need of a new cellar dweller.

Page Kennedy, who played the shadowy Caleb, aka the Guy in Betty's Basement, was evicted from Desperate Housewives, ABC confirmed Tuesday.

Show spokeswoman Janet Daily said Kennedy was terminated Friday for "improper conduct." There were no details released on the nature of said misconduct, but Daily said the action was taken following a "thorough investigation" by producers at Disney's Touchstone Television.

Actor Page Kennedy has been fired the hit ABC show, Desperate Housewives. Kennedy played the mystery man who was locked in the basement by Alfre Woodard. He was playing a fugitive from the law. At press time, sources say another actor will be hired to play his part. Kennedy was fired for improper conduct.

Lonnie Ali is putting to rest stories about her husband's health. Lonnie says the boxing great is not near death. Reports came out about his health after his daughter, Laila, gave an interview stating her dad was gravely ill. Muhammad Ali suffers from Parkinson's disease, and he recently had surgery on his neck to relieve chronic pain. He is currently undergoing physical therapy, and this week he will be in Washington, DC at the White House to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Mary J. Blige is getting the V-Legend award at the Vibe Awards. Tracey Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson will be hosting the Vibe Awards, which air on November 15th at 8pm on UPN.

It's back together again for Halle Berry and Michael Ealy. The on again/off again couple are giving it another try. Halle is 39 and Michael is 32. She is trying to be patient with him and his maturity level regarding a serious relationship. Is there a baby in their future?

BET News is getting a new look. Pop Culture Expert Toure from Rolling Stone magazine and CNN will be hosting the new setup with Selwyn Hinds, the former editor of Source magazine, and Writer Nelson George.

Supermodels Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell are putting aside their differences to kiss and make up on Tyra's talk show. The show, to air November 14th, will feature the two beauty's trying to air out their differences. At the beginning of Tyra's modeling career, Naomi gave her hell and was very mean to her. This did not stop Tyra, who became world famous in her own right. Now Tyra is gaining buzz with her talk show, and Naomi wants to be nice.

Singer David Townsend passed away last week. Townsend was a member of the 80's group Surface. They had the hits: Happy, The First Time & Closer Than Friends. Townsend was 50, and he died at his California home. The cause of death was unknown. Townsend is the son of Singer, Songwriter, Producer Ed Townsend, who is best known for co-writing the Marvin Gaye classic, Let's Get It On.

Monique graces the cover of the latest issue of Essence magazine. Monique talks about her family, including her fiancé, Sidney Hicks, and their new twin boys.

At the movies, it's Rapper 50 Cent and Terrence Howard in Get Rich Or Die Trying. Howard has a nude scene in the movie. Next year, he will be re-teaming with his Crash Co-star Don Cheadle in the movie Talk To Me.

Oprah Winfrey celebrates her 20th anniversary with a DVD box set celebrating her TV show. The DVD is 71 hours long. It features highlights over the last 20 years including her battles with her weight, her 50th birthday party and Tom Cruise jumping up and down on her couch declaring his love for Katie Holmes. She talks about the fashion disasters of the 80's declaring she looked like she was dressed by a bad drag queen. She also revealed who she dated before Stedman. Before Stedman, she dated film critic Roger Ebert.

SNOOP INTRODUCES NEW LINE OF HOT DOGS:
‘Snoop Doggs’ to hit grocery stores in January.

*Capitalizing on his rap name, Snoop Dogg has entered the hot dog business with a new line of franks following a deal with Platinum One Medium.

The Boston Herald reports that Snoop has teamed with partners Franco Petrucci and Jeff Earp to launch Snoop Doggs, a new line scheduled to arrive in grocery stores in January.

“There aren’t any celebrity hot dogs out there,” Snoop’s brother and business manger Bing Worthington told the Herald. “Who’s the competition? Ball Park?....Imagine a long,
skinny hot dog just like Snoop.”

Snoop’s partner Earp is a former owner of a Joe & Nemo’s in Massachutsetts, a popular hot dog business founded in 1909.

In justifying the new venture, Worthington said: “Snoop takes advantage of everything. This rap money isn’t long. Just ask MC Hammer.”

Now, I knew that Robert Ebert dated black women, but I didn't know he dated Oprah. I found out about him few years ago. He was receiving some award and when the camera flashed to him, he stood up, kissed his black wife, and walked on stage. Here's a pic of her..

Somebody need to smack Snopp with a pack of his own dag on hot dogs.

Bush Honors Medal of Freedom Stars

WASHINGTON (AP) - Aretha Franklin couldn't hold back the tears. Carol Burnett pranced coquettishly for the cameras. Muhammad Ali, though unable to walk unassisted, mimed boxing jabs with President Bush.

Having the president fasten the Medal of Freedom around your neck while an announcer booms your life's greatest accomplishments apparently does something even to those most accustomed to fame and fortune.

``All who receive the Medal of Freedom can know that they have a special place in the life of our country, and have earned the respect and affection of the American people,'' Bush said Wednesday as he gave the awards.

Last year, Bush chose three architects of his Iraq agenda as award winners - and drew fire for it.

This year's 14 recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the government's highest civilian honor, were divided about equally between sports and entertainment celebrities and prominent figures from the more sober worlds of economics, science, letters and policy.

They ranged from Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan to Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn, who designed a language for data transmission that gave rise to the Internet, to golfer Jack Nicklaus and actor Andy Griffith.

Only one - Paul Rusesabagina, the hotelier whose shelter of hundreds of people from the 1994 Rwandan genocide was the subject of the movie ``Hotel Rwanda'' - was under 60. Actor Don Cheadle, who played Rusesabagina in the movie, sat on the edge of his chair toward the back of the audience, snapping pictures.

White House stewards - and even Bush himself - stepped in to help several recipients navigate the nearly hourlong ceremony. Ali suffers from Parkinson's disease and other ailments, and radio personality Paul Harvey, former Rep. Sonny Montgomery and Soviet historian Robert Conquest are all well into their 80s.

The other winners were Gen. Richard Myers, the recently retired chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and baseball great Frank Robinson.

Bush saved Ali for last.

``When you say, `The Greatest of All Time is in the room,' everyone knows who you mean,'' Bush said. ``It's quite a claim to make. But as Muhammad Ali once said, `It's not bragging if you can back it up.' And this man backed it up.''

Ali sat unsmiling, showing no reaction. Then Bush jokingly mimed a few punches in Ali's direction.

Ali didn't disappoint, coming right back at Bush to make a small circular hand movement - and then repeating it toward the cameras just to be sure he'd been seen.

I know Ebert, in the back of his mind, wish he never gave her up (at least $ wise).

That Underground Buzz on Denzel and his wife is as obvious as Jahn's Robin Givens already buying a wedding dress when she marries Eddie Murphy.

I know I probably need to post this on the SGRho forum, but wasn't Monique just on the cover of Essence?

I may need to confort my HS friend/bruh because he will never be Halle's baby daddy.
